How do you guys think? Do we need regulations in the crypto world? Should only ICO be regulated or legit coins (not "security tokens") too? Can we implement regulations mechanisms in code so that corrupted governmental institutions couldn't manipulate the industry? Can we still have free market with governments' regulations across the world?
Please, share your thoughts. I'm a bit confused about what's happening right now.

Yes we will still have the free market with regulations. When they say about the regulations then they literally mean that it’s use and the way it is exchanged should be regulated. On top of this, they also mean that every transaction should be taxed small or big doesn’t matter. This way they will give it format of fiat only which works almost the same manner but they will also keep it decentralised, the principle on which it works. Obviously if that one taken out then it will never work.

Every now and then we need always a regulations in order to have a proper process or anything else because regulation intends to regulate what people are allowed to do, and I think that in crypto world we need a regulation to have a clearer transactions for all.

Do we need regulations in the crypto world?
In the current situation that cryptocurrency is facing, I would say yes we need regulations. Governments are doing their own initiative to declare regulations so we are heading there and we have no choice but to follow it. Should only ICO be regulated or legit coins (not "security tokens") too?
All crypto's. Can we implement regulations mechanisms in code so that corrupted governmental institutions couldn't manipulate the industry?
Only officials has the authority to this. Can we still have free market with governments' regulations across the world?
Yes.

Actually market is very free, but I agree with that we need regulations related to ico. I think such regulations will have a good effect on the market in the long term.

Yes it will because if we don't have a regulation in the future we clash each in everyone because we don't have following rule and regulations just like our currency right now have a regulation so that in the crypto world we need also a regulation to make our currency nice and proper and we didnt clash amd to make the crypto world have a discipline.

Yes in order to lessen or prevent the increasing number of victims and scammers here in the cryptocurrency. Like managing a country everything is based on regulations because without it there will be an outburst or too many conflicts that the other cryptocurency coins might suffer in the future this also one way of lessening the risk.

ICO should be regulated but the regulation should be flexible to accommodate the dynamic nature of bitcoin and crypto currency because generally, it is belived that all of ICOs are scams and this is to a large extent affecting the whole of even legitimate ICOs being unable to reach their potentials even after putting so much effort but with the right regulation, it can bring the amount of trust that is needed for a start while the scam ICOs wont be able to get such certifications or the amount of those that would be reduced.

Yes. We need as many regulations as we can get... so that eventually cryptocurrencies become illegal, thus create a new, parallel economy... and eventually overthrow the original one.

I think we can still have freedom even with the regulations of the government in bitcoin. Bitcoin now are being regulated in our country and there is nothing wrong with it, in fact they are adding security to what we are doing especially the exchanges. I think if I will be pointing out what change happened when bitcoin is regulated that will be the more strict rules of cashing and selling out of your bitcoin into fiat but it is not that a big problem, we find it reasonable.

Do I understand you correctly? You want them to BAN crpytocurrencies and only then the parallel econony will emerge? This scenario is crazy and very unlikely. If they ban crypto, 99% of people will jump off the train and people who will remain will not be able to create parallel economy. Cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology needs to work in hand with the classical economy.

Regulations should only be done to cryptocurrencies and not in ICO since it is only starting and needs to be successful in order to gain profit. But then again if the government force to put regulations on ICO we cant do nothing about it. For my thought on this, maybe cyrptocurrencies should be regulated for convenient access on investors and consumers of the coins.

The reality of the situation is there is no "free" market. Every government has its own regulations that sets the rule of the game. We have regulations on taxes, monopolies, banking..etc. These regulations are meant to keep the market as free and as safe as possible. There will always be a trade off but with enough adjustments and trial and error a balance between "free" and "safe" is possible.
The same is possible and needed with bitcoin. We need regulations to keep it safe and "free".

I don't think regulations as a bad thing. Having regulations can reduce abuse of the cryptocurrencies, which happening rampantly without knowing who are these people are. Another is that there is increased security. Complying to regulation means a trusted reputation, so security will also be ensured. Having regulated doesn't mean they cryptocurrencies are being hold, but just to ensure that they are not abusing they power. It will have many benefits and perks if and only if the regulations are fair and the government are not abusing their authority. In summary, necessity in regulations depends on how people use cryptocurrencies and what regulations will be made and how they will be implemented.

Well, being regulated is a better move than banning crypto I guessed. If the government chose to legalized bitcoin and other alts in exchanged of a regulation which is needed to imply then I don't have any against this action.

Crypto has already have regulations about things needed for that because all coins and tokens of those companies are being monitor and they need to fill up the requirements needed to enter into the market.
