No regulators are needed by the crypto community. Regulators are superfluous intermediaries, and rules that all must fulfill except regulators themselves. Protection from the crooks - do not tell me, you own brains and smart contracts - that's the best protection against crooks. Do you need men in expensive suits who will tell you what to do? The illusion that regulators will act in the interests of the community is a manifestation of infantilism. The community will adjust itself.

How do you guys think? Do we need regulations in the crypto world? Should only ICO be regulated or legit coins (not "security tokens") too? Can we implement regulations mechanisms in code so that corrupted governmental institutions couldn't manipulate the industry? Can we still have free market with governments' regulations across the world?

Please, share your thoughts. I'm a bit confused about what's happening right now.

Regulations are good and will increase trust and accountability in the system. Bad actors will be held reposonbile for bad actions. Look how many exchanges fail due to being run by incompetents or fraudsters. Imagine how much better it would be if those operators faced legal repercussions for not taking adequate cybersecurity precautions that get their customers funds stolen. Regulation is not the enemy.

If the things were regulated into a non corrupted ways, but the fact that the most of things regulated in our society are political  corrupted makes me feel like we don't need them.

We surely need some regulation like taxes and a centralizing agency. Bitcoin is like a rebel that profits way more than is expected. However, the very independent nature of bitcoins should be commended because it gives an avenue for people to earn money in an unconventional way.

Every now and then we need always a regulations in order to have a proper process or anything else because regulation intends to regulate what people are allowed to do, and I think that in crypto world we need a regulation to have a clearer transactions for all.
in our society, we need to impose such rules and regulations.  It limits how person will make things in a moderate manners. It says that in this kind of social imposing it give us to be a good follower of our nation or state. Through this we should do such things in wrong or right decision.
Agree here with you because in our society people are using bitcoin for different means so if we will use bitcoin as an aim and will fix rules for it then bitcoin will be easy to use and get more profit than before its regulation. Price of bitcoin is low but it will increase if our government will fix some rules for it as it will be acceptable in a lot of markets and shopping malls, if bitcoin will be regulated and legal worldwide.

If regulations will totally implemented in cryptocurrency, provided by the law of government security, well it simplifies the transparency of management situation, and the identity of bitcoin creator will display, because of the total power of government security, and it can develop multiple people who wants to invest in bitcoin business or cryptocurrencies business. I know that are many people don't trust crypto and highly doubt to access because of the safety and security system.

I think we need regulations in order to expand the cryptocurrencies community because there are lots of people who dont even know how bitcoin works, and since the usage of bitcoin and other coins are basely on money laundering and tax evasion, the countries all around the world started to ban bitcoin. If they started to implement regulations, maybe bitcoin price wont be as volatile as now, but for the long term prospect of bitcoin, it might do good cause for future payment and transactions

Before I don't agree and I don't like with regulations but with the situations that are changing right now, we do really need it. Regulations can be a counter-attack to those accusations that are brought up due to fake news and FUDs that we are so tired of reading it from time to time. This can also give an assurance that regulators are in favor of bitcoin so that new investors will not be scared anymore by putting much money on it and it will also remove their doubt.

Of course! The government should have regulations about cryptocurrency. There are many people who are so greedy to bitcoins. They will do any way for them to earn bitcoin. Even if they are earning bitcoin in a bad way. Regulations can secure all of the investors and people who using cryptocurrency.

I guess so. If we cryptocurrency users really want to progress we should be seeking legal support by now. I mean legal support ain't that bad as they only want what is best for its citizens. Yes some of the features will be remove like the anonymity of the cryptocurrency but that feature is not necessary if you want to progress and help prevent certain abuses and crimes with the use of that currency. The government cannot manipulate it, it is illegal to do so. I mean look at the stock market if is suffering from manipulation no other people will earn money from it right now. The government also wants to avoid their citizens to invest in scams that they will find easily in the internet, with regulation it will help them track down who the potential suspects are.

In my opinion, it is better to have regulations in crypto currency world for our own benefit so that we can avoid manupulations of prices and our investments will be safe and protected by regulator like the Government. However, if they will implement rules and regulations, they might impose taxations in our income but for me that is ok because that is for our own benefit. With that, many people will become more patronize into Bitcoin and they will put their money to crypto because of the security and protection by the Government and might implement to the whole world of how Bitcoin make our lives better.

I think the regulation we need is not for protection from crooks but the regulation for bitcoin is acceptable everywhere, with regulation from the government of course people will not look bad bitcoin because the government is a superpower for any thing including spreading the word, when they legalize bitcoin of course the price will soar but there is certainly something to be paid from a regulation, of course the government will provide a requirement for it

You got the point why Bitcoin should be legalized , regulation is the only way to make bitcoin steady will lost its volatality  and become acceptable to all country of world . But what make bitcoin a bitcoin is the uniqueness to all, because bitcoin is design to become decentralized, anonymous, and no bounderies P2P transaction to avoid third party interventions. If we legalized and regulated the tendency that it will lost its identity and the behind it blockchain technology and nothing difference with the usual block market.thats is why bitcoin is patronized by many because lf its kind.

Legalization is part of the regulation because they are regulating something because they recognized it. Regulations is one of the step for a thing to be maintain and well organized for the future usage. We need regulation because this is the way for the other people to trust bitcoin and it will encourage them to get into bitcoin.

Yeah being a law abiding citizen we should always think of legality in all our under takings because in the first the safety of our investment and our asset specially when BTC experiences FUD. and the security you should always considered protection of the law. The acceptability to all nations of the planet but we should always remember BTC is developed in a way as deregulated ,decentralized P2P and anonymous. In some democratic country it is acceptable because of free market principle but still we need to pay taxes. Bitcoin has its own world to work with away from the control of the government and only law that govern is trust.

No, we don't need it but I'm afraid it was necessary. Some of the users use it for illegal purposes some are using it to evade taxes, we all know it was people currency and people friendly, but not all are positive, bitcoin can create a negative effect in the economic system of one country if lots of people engage on bitcoin it will affect the banking system because banks need investment but instead people are investing at BTC if bank lost its profit the economy is also affected.
