We do need regulation, without regulation crypto can never become fully integrated and accepted in society. Also the frequency by which new projects are appearing in the world of crypto is saturating the market and therefore it just makes sense that only the better project will be allowed to do ICOs.

I am not sure it's necessary nowadays. Everything is fine and people just want to know when to sell and when to buy their coins. Grin No need any changes.

How do you guys think? Do we need regulations in the crypto world? Should only ICO be regulated or legit coins (not "security tokens") too? Can we implement regulations mechanisms in code so that corrupted governmental institutions couldn't manipulate the industry? Can we still have free market with governments' regulations across the world?

Please, share your thoughts. I'm a bit confused about what's happening right now.
As per the regulations of bitcoin, I think it is just fine to have these conditions as long as bitcoin could operate in that country. Bitcoin is very secure to begin with so you don't have to fear bitcoin being milked on by an individual government. Moreover, it is decentralized making it harder for the government to manipulate it for their personal gain.

Every now and then we need always a regulations in order to have a proper process or anything else because regulation intends to regulate what people are allowed to do, and I think that in crypto world we need a regulation to have a clearer transactions for all.

Yes, we need a regulation in order to have transparency in cryptocurrencies transactions and it will protect our transaction from time to time. Crypto has already have regulation about things needed for that because all coins and tokens of those company are bieng monitored.
I guess there are factors that can be considered and hows we need regulations, and the support of government as well. It is to protect and make transparency to the transactions that we will make in the future. But also there are also factors that can be considered that we don't need regulations, like to protect bitcoin itself from the government.

I think we do not need regulation, actually regulation will only create chaos in the world of cryptocurrency, because with the regulation of a government will only limit the development of technology crypto, and it will also have an impact on the price. it is my opinion that less agree on the regulation.

if my only hope we can be free to express and work without causing trouble or harming others this is an agreement both parties do not get harmed and the task of the government only supervise and provide protection and provide space and facilities so that bitcoin is not merely illegal eyes and washing crime this money is a technology of the future that must be developed and facilitated

I Iike your idea, this will somehow limit the possible abuses that may arise. We really need this regulations especially there are many selfish people out there or projects out there that victimized many people. They fool everyone even those campaign managers.
I think this should be implemented for it will be useful in a long run, for the future generations.
I think if we want for the regulation happens and implemented, of course we must be prepared with conditions where we will no longer be free to use cryptocurrency? of course the regulation will contain the rules so that the government will have our identity, because of course they want to avoid the existence of financial crimes such as money laundering? there will always be a price to pay for a legalization

We need both regulated and unregulated financial markets. Blockchain as a technology leads to unregulated financial market becomes a thing.

But we don't want it become too big. There is still kinds of businesses we don't want to have access to large scale financial infrastructure. Like money laundering or drug trade or human trafficking or child pornography. To keep this at bay we need stuff like KYC/AML checks on major exchanges.

Also paying taxes in crypto plus establishing blockchain control over government spendings will be an incredibly powerful combination for a better state.

That's basically the reasoning behind orderbook.io exchange implementing KYC, Docusign, accredited investor verification, getting licenses to trade BTC, ETH and tokens in all 50 states and in the process of getting licenses for private securities and public securities issuance and trading.

It may be necessary that in every country there must be a regulation but which will be different according to their respective countries, especially in bitcoin where the rules are not allowed to create 2 accounts and must not follow campaigns and leave without the approval of the campain manager.

Yes, Regulation are very important, it can offer a set of powerful business and marketing tools for organization of all sizes, We may use them to fine tune performance and manage the risk we face while operating in the efficient and sustainable ways, They'll allow you to demonstrate the quality of what you do to your customer and they'll help you see how to embed best practice into your organization:)

We need regulations. Without them you will always see twitter posts shooting a coin, reddit topics tanking a coin or vice-versa. Without regulations you will always see pumps and dumps, false ICOs, scam projects, countless of shit coins popping up, lots of FUD and lots of FOMO.

We need regulations not only for the good of our investments but for the good of cryptocurrencies in general. Right now many countries (like mine) do not tax any crypto movements. If it was a regulated market worldwide there would be taxes, with taxes there's less volatility, more smart money coming in (instead of dumb money) more companies investing.

Without regulations this is the wild west. I agree this is also what makes crypto different but in the long term I just don't see it holding without being regulated, specially because it will never reach the guy next door or the old lady if it remains unregulated. Without it reaching the masses cryptos will never become the next fiat.

To maintain regularity is a good thing which isn't acquired by all. If you are good at anything, you have to maintain regularity. According to this,we also need regulations. For doing daily work in time,we must need to maintain regulations.

Do we need regulations in the crypto world?
In the current situation that cryptocurrency is facing, I would say yes we need regulations. Governments are doing their own initiative to declare regulations so we are heading there and we have no choice but to follow it.
Should only ICO be regulated or legit coins (not "security tokens") too?
All crypto's.
Can we implement regulations mechanisms in code so that corrupted governmental institutions couldn't manipulate the industry?
Only officials has the authority to this.
Can we still have free market with governments' regulations across the world?
Yes.
I think we need to have a regulations in order for us to have a fair system.

true cryptocurrency is a generation system that will continue the current transaction system because cryptocurrency has a very good uniqueness that is with a clear data collection then can not be manipulated data system

people do need regulation because they think this can help bitcoin to become more popular so that government and banks will promote bitcoin publically. Also, some people says if bitcoin is regulated its value can now be more stable and less volatile because it is now centralized when regulated. i also think criminal acts and illegal activities will be lessen dramatically because governments and banks can now monitor the ins and outs of bitcoin but i think that can affect the privacy and anonymousy of bitcoin.
