[List] Suspected users that are abusing merit 3.0

I see comments here that merits are not being moderated and these merit abusers cannot be tagged for this. But I see some profiles tagged with the comment "merit farming". Can someone explain ?

It is not that they can't be tagged just that very few are. Generally, there needs to be a very high level of certainty before someone in default trust will tag them.

It is said now China is a cashless society. Use of debit and credit cards in shops/stores, online pay bills, shopping online.

Money earned from the internet is known as digital/electronic money. People who earn money from the internet, they get paid money in electronic form by payment processors such as skrill, perfectmoney, alipay, paypal, bank-wire transfers because online workers are worldwide.

Last month, I got $20 from online surveys. The money was sent to my bank account via online payment processor. Now if I buy 2 shirts using debit cards at offline or online stores, there is no cash involved but I have 2 shirts.

Just like Bitcoin which does not have a physical presence, money/cash will not have physical presence in "cashless society/countries" where money becomes digital/numbers.

Bitcoin is a part of digital money. How is digital money is your country ??

Yesterday, he applied to a signature campaign that requires him to earn 20 Merit. Just 25 minutes later, he received 10 Merit for this post, and 4 minutes later another 10 Merit for this post. A few minutes later he updated his post to confirm: "Merit Count: 120". It took him 33 minutes in total to reach the Merit requirements.
Both accounts that sent him Merit have red trust already.

I found out that this account asking merit which is strictly prohibited on this forum, I checked the post history of this account and i found out it will end the post of "Give me merit".

The member giving the merit is xandry, who seems to be very generous in giving lots of single merits to a number of members, not just Alex_Sr. His position is indicated as 'staff', but surely this is an abuse of the position? The other members he has given an unusually high number of merits to are:

3. inbizin

4. prismihai

5. Needpurple

To be honest, most of the merits distributed look suspicious, but these were the ones I picked out. Almost certain it's being used to upgrade alt accounts. Anyway, if I'm wrong, then apologies, but I don't think I am.

Can you read Russian? As long as the post quality is decent, I don't think it was an abuse.

Looks like most of his merits were received from his local board post. If I remember it correctly, xandry is known for giving merits to members who help in the Russian moderation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4330297.0), those accounts are probably the list of members who he perceived as helpful members.

I have be reading all through this thread about merits abuse and to my observation here it very obvious that most members now used money to acquired merits. I know the moderators here are hard working to ensure transparency here in the forum I think they should put more effort to bring this to an end thanks.
