I hate with in-game chat features like this, because it quickly turns into a freak zone.  Usually it is not THAT bad on any given day. There are however some people that would like to get attention from everyone and that is when they do crazy stuff like this. They can't get your attention with stuff like "hey, thanks, how are you doing" or whatever, those are regular words that doesn't spark any attention. However, sometimes trolls talk about nazis, they talk about sexual stuff like this, they do that text based dick pic type thing, they basically do whatever they can to say "HEY LOOK AT ME, I AM HERE", mostly because they get no attention at all on regular days and that is why they do it online. Most cyber bullies turn out to be castaways on regular life, that is why they get together and feel belong somewhere with other cyber bullies and hurt others feelings just to get "revenge" for not getting any attention in real life. |

So you do not drink Alcohol or smoke in front of your kids? There are loads of things parents are doing or not doing that has a negative influence on their kids. At least I am not sitting for hours in a Brick n Mortar casinos with my kids being alone at home, like some people are doing. Parents are also allowed to have some fun.  I am just saying that the chat should be moderated, because it is not a fun experience having to read that kind of language when you are trying to chill at home. If nothing change, I will just move to another gambling site without this nonsense. Everyone has a different tolerance for vulgarity and what might be offensive to one might be uncontroversial for the other. For that reason and especially since gambling is an adult industry, I prefer to take a light-handed approach to chat moderation. However, you can still hide messages from players you don't want to see in chat. To do that, click on a player's name in chat and then click on the block button. |

I think kprawn makes a reasonable point about the chat frequently being pretty bad. What about adding the ability to leave all chat-channels and then the UI just hides the chat completely (except a button to re-enable the chat)?

Other than not receiving audio notifications for mentions by and private messages from friends anymore, what's the advantage over switching to the history tab? |

Oh, rofl. I completely forgot about the history tab. >< Yeah, then just switching to the history tab seems like the obvious solution for anyone who wants to not look at the chat  |

It is such a funny accusation that "all scripts stopped" before a big bet, I mean the game still continued right? There were people gambling on that round as well? Have you considered maybe the script and bots were the malfunctioning part? There are no rules that keeps you from gambling yourself if you want to, all you have to do is click one button and you would be in that game.
What you are complaining sounds like "my automated betting didn't worked" and not "I wasn't allowed to bet" and that is a HUGE difference, if you were not allowed to bet that would have been a huge deal and you should have been compensated for sure because everyone should be allowed to bet. Still, you WERE allowed to bet, your both just stopped, manual was still working so there is no foul play here.
Do you want to say that losing 50 times by 3 then about the same times of 4 in the auto is this normal? I just had to notice in time that the script stopped and quickly managed to make a bet in 4 seconds before the start of the next round? |

Well, let's not spoil a very good gambling discussion with something trivial like this. I know people are different and we are not living in a perfect world, so you just have to accept that what you cannot control. The suggestion above kinda solved my problem, so I will give 1 merit for that. Thank you for the calm and collective and constructive discussion about this, I did expect something totally different. The site is still one of my favorites and I will just have to apply my block hammer to those people with their vulgar antics.  |

Can you explain in detail what you're complaining about? Sometimes it sounds like you're saying your script was stopped by the site, sometimes it sounds like your script stopped because it hit your own condition of too many losses. Nobody can help you if you can't explain the problem. |

I think chat could have literally channels. I know that might be a bit of a problematic for a coder to develop but I feel like if you could do such a task as a coder that would yield with a lot of channels and there could be ones that are vanilla where no one writes anything bad or they get banned. Or you could increase the mod numbers in the chat and have people ban others that write bad stuff that should not be there?
Having the option of "not looking at the bad part of the website" doesn't quite sound like a sustainable solution. Sure, you end up with a solution that is short term but wouldn't the better option stopping the problem instead of not looking at the problem? Of course, devans would know better and Rhavar is obviously wiser than me but I would rather solve the problem instead of ignore if you asked me.

Many users in this thread tried explain you the whole scenario but yet you still miss it. Don't take it as an offense but with this mindset the best choice you can make is stop gambling for good. |

I totally agree that people should be allowed to gamble whenever they want wherever they want and we don't have the right to tell them otherwise. It is a disgusting world when other people intervene with how you are raising your child. First of all "gambling" concept is foreign to kids, they are most likely seeing this as a "game" their father plays just like they play fortnite or whatever small kids play right now.
Do you really think it is worse for a father to play a game where it is hurting absolutely nobody and has fun over what kids are playing these days killing 100 people in a closed island and hitting each other with bazookas or whatever? Just like video games not making people murderers, gambling doesn't make them degenerates neither, these are all things we do in confined places of our houses, not reflecting into the society.

There are two discussions at the same time that makes this topic a bit weird  . Like one point someone says "there is no scamming your bot was wrong" and right after someone says "your child should not be watching you gambling". For both of the topics I feel like the best solution could be simply let them be? The guy who thought he was scammed because his bot stopped "RIGHT BEFORE HE WON"!!! my god... there are those kind of people still gambling around in crypto, I am pretty sure casinos make the most money out of these people who think they found a system that could beat a house edged casino that has been profitable for YEARS now. The other one was already solved with history tab or whatever anyway, so let both of them be and we will not have to do anything. |

Said above, bad is a perception. People have different tolerance to different things. I believe the chat should be as free as possible. More control brings more dissatisfaction. If moderated heavily, people would complain about they being banned while other not. |

Definitely, you could just happen to be lucky once in a while and make a decent profit but that doesn't equal to everyone making profit, it is purely luck and there are lucky people who could make a profit in a short term gambling spree where they end up in the positive, but there is a house edge which equals to people not making a profit if they keep gambling, it is simple mathematics and nothing shady so we should not feel responsible for people who got scammed about a bot that could make a profit. |

Plenty of people are misinformed about it and various scammers are preying on them. It's not about guilt, just when you see someone lying or dangerously mistaken you can either walk by or say something. I enjoy gambling and I'd like others to enjoy it for what it is and not go broke trying to get rich so I'll probably say something. |
