certainly, because in the whitepaper there is important information in a project because there has been described how the project runs and to reach on an ico that will move.

I almost never read the WP because they can write anything there. When choosing an ICO, I look at the manager who leads the project. If this is an unknown newbee, then I do not participate in such cases.

Let be real. How many of you guys actually read the whitepaper? I read whitepaper sometimes, but reading multiple of them can be a burden and a headache. Do you guys got any tips on getting through whitepaper a little faster. It killing a lot of time. Thank.
in ICO project there is usually whitepaper and lightpaper. maybe if you think whitepaper has a lot of pages and makes you a headache to read it, you can try reading the lightpaper or you can see the video on their channel

I always look at whitepapers at least briefly, otherwise you can not understand the full concept of a project. I would not invest in something I do not understand.

These days , I make it as a point of duty to ensure that I read the whitepaoer of any project I wish to participate in, both bounty and investment. Whitepaper makes you understand the concept of the idea and all details as regards the product

Frankly speaking, I have not read even one in my life. But again, this is mainly because, I do not invest in number of alt coins . I like it to play safe and thus invest only in top 10 coins based on market capital.

There is no need to read whitepaper for those coins as they are already being trusted by some many people worldwide. However, I always follow the news related to the coins I had invested in as it affects the prices and thus my potential returns also.

I always read whitepaper. It helps me to make the right choice when I search ICO for investing. And if you don't want to throw away your money I recommend you to read whitepaper from cover to cover.

No need to read whitepaper in first place, first you can search the other thing first and check if the ico is backed by real company or not, have working product or not and other. If you very interesting then read whitepaper in the last to make sure everything good.  Wink

In my opinion, if you really want to invest. You become valuable then you should read the white paper then only you can get a clear idea about the project. And this can be done by all investors to better understand the purpose of the project. But you must be extra careful by reading it.

Till now I have read the white-paper of 2-3 altcoins, in addition to that of Bitcoin. Many of these whitepapers are hastily written, with no added information. Sometimes they deliberately use complex language, in order to hide their demerits.

Yes I do. By reading the whitepaper, you will know every details of the project and you will understand how the project works.  Also, you will know if the ICO/Project is good for investment of your time and money.

For a quick analysis of whitepaper, I chose several important parameters:
1)Comprehensive information delivery
2)Readability
3)Clarity
4)Business plan presentation
5)Presentation of technical implementation
6)Technology
7)Decentralization
8)Developer Activity on github.
All parameters I estimate by 1-5 points. If there were more than 20+ points, then this project is not bad ...
But if you really want to invest in this project, then you need a full and detailed study.  Wink

Out of curiosity, which WPs have really inspired/impressed you? I've been unimpressed with all WPs for dapps on Ethereum. I either think the amount being raised is unnecessary, the protocol isn't possible by today's technology, the WP deliberately omits necessary information, or the idea just isn't feasible for at least the next five years...

when deciding to invest beforehand I must find out all the information not only whitepaper but all the information related to total web site traffic from token to be sold price and also the most important about the future development of the project, so I definitely read whitepaper.

I didn't read them so detailed, I would prefer to read the main context and reach for the important information. We need to read them because the information about ICO are provided there.

Well, there is no created "text shortener". All you need to understand the whole whitepaper is to read it all. Otherwise, any sophisticated article can cause to lose money.

In my opinion, indeed by reading and understanding the concept of how I think it is enough, if we really want to invest, of course we must be careful and observant to see the possibilities of growth of ICO, so that we can minimize the possibility of losses to be received, so read white paper carefully to see the investment prospects will be better.

I read the white paper last and it does not always happen. The most important thing for me in the project is a strong team, a high degree of product availability and a good initial investment. If these signs indicate that the project is good, then there is no need to read white paper.

I always read the white paper and the website because of it
we get information about the project we will follow, otherwise there is no way to get a clear idea about the project.
