Let be real. How many of you guys actually read the whitepaper? I read whitepaper sometimes, but reading multiple of them can be a burden and a headache. Do you guys got any tips on getting through whitepaper a little faster. It killing a lot of time. Thank.

I rarely read the white paper. I am always interested with the presentation of project. Which may not be good for investment. But I think white paper must be read before investment.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

As an option, you can find people who are professionally studying projects. And to invest money in those projects that they have selected.

when I read a whitepaper I look at the number of pages at first. If I'm going to make a big investment, I read the crucial places
Off course yes, before i participate or join bounty campaign i am reading the whitepaper because reading the whitepaper is very important to do because you can analyze very well the campaign by just reading it's whitepaper, just like the globitex bounty it has a really great whiterpaper.

I always start with the main site of project, read about  the team, read a short version of the white paper, if there is one available. And if i like the project and it seems for me promising and interesting  -  then I read the full version of WP.  Well, this is not the most pleasant and  a fascinating pastime, sometimes im very bored..But investment is not a game but the work. If you don't want to lose your money ,you must read.

I start with business plan documents and then I continue with white paper documentation to understand whether the project can make profits after they launch their business to the sector.

When i am planing to invest in ICO the first thing i do is i go through whitepaper. That is the basement of my study. And only after that i search other sources for opinion and ratings. That helps me to take decision if i should go in. Its better to spend some time analyzing whitepeper then loose money because you didn't get the idea. But to save some time i usually concentrate on some particular points like token metrics, team, working products or prototype etc

Yes, I read the white paper! It takes a very long time, but the only way I can really appreciate the project! We choose for ourselves where we will invest therefore don't be lazy to execute all conditions of the analysis of the project and you will save the money!

Hello!Yes at least who doing things with crypto i think they read whitepaper, imagine if u invest money and dont read whitepaper, road map, look up advisors where they have
grand office i mean u need to look street in google map, read information about project if its is a scam or not..if all things what i write is positive then less % may be its a scam..
Yes being new in crypto industry i need to read the whitepaper interactively and understand what i am reading, whitepaper is important in every project because it is like showcasing all the significant information for the invertors and miners.

To invest of course you need to read WP.
few moments you should look carefully when you check WP:
1) Roadmap
2) Team ( you should google for the team and advisors to check is they really take part in this project, check their biography )
3) Technical overview. All things should be clear.
4) use cases. How neccesassary and useful the new project is

Wish you good luck

And so, I think for airdrop no one look for WP Grin

You can read them most of the time but if you are reading a lot everyday you need to tale note so you wont forgot which is which.Reading whitepaper would give you an idea on how the project will succeed,a good whitepaper isnt a business type whitepaper it should be balance so the project is going to achieve the goals in time.

To reckon a whitepaper is the most boring occupation, especially at first when you hardly understand anything in the crypt. I try to see the roadmap and the main characteristics of the coin

Of course I always read it unless it's just a crap that has only a couple of pages. Whitepaper tells vision of their project, detail of their product, and potential of their further development.

If you are a serious investor then you should read the whitepapers of the projects. They're like a manifesto of the team or an academic paper of the innovation that will be provided.
I try to read them mostly, bu if you think about an easy way, then you can use skim & scan technique for faster reading and understanding the crutial parts of the document.

It really depends on the project. If the ANN is bad and unprofessional I just scroll through it and usually I find things that confirm my doubts so it doesn't take me more than a minute or two.
If I like the idea and vision of the project or I think it could be profitable for me, I take more time and check the roadmap, technical info, if project is transparent, if team members are real and so on. I read third or quarter of all text. If everything is ok, I might decide to invest few percent of my portfolio.
When I find exceptional ICO and consider investing more than 5% of my portfolio, then I read whole whitepaper. Usually it doesn't take more than 30 minutes.

I always read a road map. It doesn't take long. I also look at the project team, idea and popularity. Good luck!

For interest sake, and because I may be writing a white paper for an alt-coin in the near future, what do the white paper readers want and look for in a white paper?

If I want to understand how profitable it is for me to invest in this project then I have to read the white paper in any case. If you do not analyze it, it's like playing casino.

If you are investing in an ICO , it is must to read the white paper.  The whitepaper is one of those things where you can get needed information, which can help you  is to make sure that the ICO you are investing in is legitimate.
