what's the compiling errors?

Yeah i compiled it fine on Ubuntu 13.04. Just follow the instructions in the doc folder. It should work if you have installed all the dependencies. Also you can solo mine with asiccoind just run it in terminal then use the same instructions as  you do for bitcoind: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Original_Bitcoin_client/API_calls_list

what's the compiling errors?

I did the following:

sudo su

apt-get install qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev libssl-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev

no errors, every thing runned fine. Than:

cd src
make -f makefile.unix

Building LevelDB ...
/bin/sh: 1: ./build_detect_platform: Permission denied

Makefile:18: build_config.mk: No such file or directory
