You do not need to be confused about choosing a good coin. Because you only need to see and monitor it from the project Whitepaper. From Whitepaper already seen if the project is good or not. So you should look for more details about the coin you are going to buy. I think this way will help you in determining good coins.

I have an advice : Better read the project, whitepaper road maps and trends. By doing this you will easily determine the path of the coins if it will be successful or not. I read and understand their whitepaper
I read about the team behind the coin
I follow the community on telegram
I read other people's opinion about the coin

 The best thing to do when  gauging the value of a coin is to read and get all the information possible from its whitepaper, this  will give you an in depth understanding of what you are dealing with , where you are about to put your money, The White paper will explain what the project is all about and what it offers the market, how it will be useful it will be in the market, then do a little more research and see if the gap it seeks to fill is empty, if the coin improves the market then go for it

Good ICO profile, best project team, good vision and product etc. will cause to success of the project. but there are so many fact rather than mentioned fact which cause to success of the project. so it is better to read whitepaper and consider about those fact before investing for the coins.
