This is an old thread. Bitcoin Pyramid was sold to user bitcoinpyramid. Please see the new official thread here

Hi!

I just developed Bitcoin Pyramid (inspired by Bitcoin Randomizer).

Here are some features:
- no password or email address needed
- no limitations on hierarchy depth
- no limitations on the size of membership fee (you can start with 0 btc!)
- about a half of deposited money goes to random members
- new members that do not follow referral links become referrals of random members
- automatic payouts when income hits the threshold (0.01 0.021 btc currently)
- all the pyramid info is published on the site, daily backups of the whole mysql database are available at http://bitcoinpyramid.com/backups
- due to previous 2 features, there is almost nothing to hack!

It is in alpha beta-stage yet, I will be grateful for any questions, comments and bug reports.

One time offer for unique forum members: if you get registered in Bitcoin Pyramid with Member Id <= 50 100 >= 422, then please send me your Member Id before I strike out this sentence and I will send 0.01 btc to your withdrawal address.

You can now earn 15% of your bitcoin deposit to bitcoinpyramid back at ABitBack.com. Just make sure you clear your cookies before clicking through to bitcoinpyramid via abitback.com.

Will you add more levels in a future, better-than-alpha version? Getting paid from the downline when referrals refer even more people is usually the best part of a good pyramid scheme.

The number of levels is not limited: each sponsor gets 50% of his/her children's income when it hits 0.01 btc (and pays 50% of that to his/her sponsor).

I'm sorry if I didn't make it clear (I tried, honestly, but english is not my native language Smiley)

PS: Thank you very much for your feedback! I've sent 0.01 btc to your withdrawal address.

Ah... the unlimited hierarchy is so unlimited that I failed to grasp it.

(I get stupid when I haven't slept for 30 hours. I should ask a medical professional why that happens. Grin)

Your threshold seems to need some fixing. Just got a 0.0045 payment to sent to me.

In other news: Yay! I got random milli-btc from the pyramid! Wink

When member's balance hits the threshold all the following happen: 0.001 btc goes to pyramid, 50% goes to sponsor and 50% to member's wallet. You can see the details in the "history" page (the history is shown in reverse chronological order).  Do you think it's worth of increasing the threshold to 0.021 btc?

I agree that a higher threshold for withdrawals is a good idea. Too many small transactions can make it expensive to get the bitcoins out of the wallet again.

You could keep the internal threshold lower, though, so that people can enjoy watching the decimals add up until it reaches the withdrawal threshold. Smiley

It would be nice to have 2 thresholds (internal and external). Maybe I'll implement it later.

I've increased the threshold to 0.021 (thus minimum withdrawal is 0.01 btc now).

I have the lucky number. 0.7 BTC deposed. I'll be happy to receive my 0.01 BTC bonus  Cheesy... 0.7 BTC is just to stimulate others, but I don't really see any reason to deposit anything in there (so, if I'll deposit more it doesn't reflect my future profit)... Everybody is just waiting for something.

Member №31 http://bitcoinpyramid.com/member/31 has a very strange balance 6.0E-5 btc

Member №31 http://bitcoinpyramid.com/member/31 has a very strange balance 6.0E-5 btc

There is a reason to deposit more: more money you deposit - more chances you have to be selected for random payments and random referrals (see rules for details). Thus it influences your future profit.

Regarding strange balance: member #31 deposited 0.00006 btc and for some reason this sum was formatted as 6.0E-5. I fixed it on that page (now all the values are shown with 8 digits after the point), and I plan to fix it on all other pages too.

PS: 0.01 btc has been sent to you, thank you very much for your support & feedback!

Thanks for everybody who joined the pyramid and spread the word about it!

There are 50 members in the pyramid now. Everything goes fine and I extend the "grace period" to 100 members.

Please PM me if you don't receive 0.01 btc within 24 hours after you send me your member Id.

How about something to encourage deposits? Maybe a limit on random payments where the user gets to keep the amount equal to his deposit plus 50%, and the remainder is paid to the sponsor.

When somebody deposits any amount, the following algorithm works:
1) 50% goes to sponsor
2) random member is being chosen (each member's chances to be chosen depend on his/her deposits)
3) min(remainder, sum deposited by random member) goes to the selected random member
4) if remainder > 0, goto 2.

I think 2) and 3) should be encouraging enough. Maybe need to document it better. What do you think?
