You're patience has been rewarded, v1.5-hastur is here:

Windows: http://offeringstocthulhu.info/Offerings-hastur.zip
MacOS: http://offeringstocthulhu.info/Offerings-hastur.dmg
Source: https://github.com/thegreatoldone/offerings

A renewed focus on the deep also brings a new website: http://offeringstocthulhu.info which is now the only place to get official clients and information. While I will plan to keep this thread updated, I have no way of editing the OP and as such, the Forum link on the website directs to the main focal point of conversation for Offerings. The highly endorsed and excellent CTHULHU . TK is still available as well.

Changelog:

Checkpoints; Updated DNS Seeds; Graphical changes to wallet; Groundwork for Renewed Ritual scheduled for Autumnal Equinox - All Hallow's Eve 2015 in v1.6; In-wallet Ledger; New Splash-screen.

v1.6 will be out in approximately 90 days and will implement blocking for peers older than v1.5. This will rectify the database I/O error when synching a fresh chain and allow for the renewed ritual to begin again! For a fast workaround you can download a bootstrap direct from the seednode: http://offeringstocthulhu.info/Offering-blockchain.tar.bz2 v1.6 will also move to 0.9.x Bitcoin branch level code.

Next up, an update for 23 Skidoo.

someones emptied the faucet.

there were >160 OFF in there a day or two ago.

seeing as ive mined precisely zero OFF in over a week, i see only one way to acquire OFF and thats to pay stupid prices on cryptopia.

same deal with FLAX... mined NOTHING the last 10 days despite having 2 wallets open 24/7..

is there something wrong or is this intentional?

Just checked, 150 OFF in the faucet, though the Flax Seeding Unit is running low. Will get some in there shortly!

I`ve got two news - one is good, another is bad.
1. offpool is on v.1.5
2. Avira Antivirus is recognize "hastur-v.1.5" wallet as "trojan/virus software" - TR/BitCoinMiner.10328576

The trojan is related to the mining that is still in-wallet in the 0.9.x code base. We are working on an 0.10.x "core" version of OFF soon which will eliminate the false positives for this wallet.

Also, the I/O error will be solved by the next release as well--we're cutting off the old peers who don't upgrade past this version, thus that bad peer (with an incompatible database we believe) will cease to bounce people. In the meantime, use the zipped blockchain to get around that.

While the wait for fixes, the latest miners flee.
There is a problem wallet, there is a problem in the pool cryptopia.co.nz/MineShaft (there seems to be version 1.4 yet). The result is predictable.
@use the zipped blockchain@ -It does not help

Still...

Be patient; Offerings Core is soon upon us--that will cut off peers older than the last release and hopefully put this to bed once and for all.

Thx!!

Offerings v1.6-Bokrug Core has been uploaded to Git. Graphical builds are 24-48 hours behind as the need for Qt work is at hand. This is not a hardfork version, but it does solidify the changes needed to drop out all Peers older than Hastur level (this build) and the changes required for an additional ritual in 300Kish blocks. v1.7 will hard fork the old peers out completely by requiring Core level code or better.

Thanks !

Few things noticed :

- nRPCPort = 11928; - this could be confusing as it was testnet port before
- Fellow Cultist tab is acutally Transgressions, address book tab is missing
- config file should be now named Offerings.conf
- new wallet/deamon can only connect to peers on port 20000, maybe this is caused by missing upnp (field is grayed)

Otherwise updated version is much faster, loads big wallets in a blink of an eye, and no leveldb errors so far! Smiley

Much thanks for the feedback; will make a few changes to the ports and compile in the UPnP for the next build. RPCPORT= in the .conf should change it to whatever you'd prefer in the meantime!
