I don't think ICO will die, the idea of crowsale has come and stay but what I think will change is the offering, you can't be giving me just tokens for investing in your project, they will now need to offer something more concrete and solid than this, maybe when SEC comes after them

It is very early to talk about it, because we are likely to expect a spike in the market, which is likely to be followed by new ICOs.

As long as people believe that they can make money from investing with ICO then they will continue. I think the only thing that could stop this is heavy handed government regulations that would forbid their citizens from taking part in ICO. US and China already do this so if that was replicated across many more countries then there would be problems.

Yes, this will continue as long as people continue to earn money on this. But even after tough government decisions ICOs will not die, they will adjust to the new rules and everything will continue.

It's very early to talk about that. It's cool to see that people are talking about it though because it can happen if there was a large attack on crypto.

No, ICO aren't dying. Projects are just looking to take the easy way out when organizing their icos. So they're sticking to private salesto evade regulations. What they don't know is that they're indirectly killing their project by cutting off the crowd from the sale and selling tokens to only private firms and individuals. If the everyone who wasn't allowed to participate refuses to buy the tokens at outrageous prices on exchanges. It'll turn out badly. I believe soon, ICOs will resume to crowdsales.

Recently learned that more and more ICOs are closing deals through private sales and merely airdropping the coins. Will ICOs die, when will it?
I do not think that ICO will soon die. On the contrary, I believe that ICO projects will be in demand and will continue to develop and grow quantitatively and qualitatively. France now wants to adopt a legal act that would regulate the ICO process and, above all, protect investors. If they succeed, this can serve as an example for similar regulation of ICOs in most countries and then these projects will grow in importance and popularity. Now, even despite the large share of fraud among them, ICO projects are quite demanded vseravno.

I will agree with you. Last time so many companies have good idea but can't get cap. Think in middle maybe one year and ICO will die, people didn't want to invest without good rewards

I think ICO is the same as Bitcoin will die if there is no more Internet-connected, ICO has become like looking for profit, investor and create a new concept, so do not be surprised if ICO still survive and there.

ICO will definitely die if many companies are deceived by holding ICO so that it has a negative impact on every country and with most likely many countries will BAN ICO problematic project, in fact so good that every project that will come out has passed the rules and to invest in our ICO no doubt again, unlike today with a lot of ICO which actually makes us confused to choose it.

Definitely. Pretty much, when market blows up last year, a lot of fakes tried to take advantage of the craze. Now that the market had woke up, it's back to the fundamentals of looking for real projects with real products and sound business model. Plus the SEC cracking down on the fakes and none serious projects should pus some sense back into the ICO space. It's still a very rewarding and at the same time risky venture as it is.

A huge percent of ICOs are already failing. This because investors are not buying like they used to do. Imagine buying tokens that is worth $2333 only for it to be listed and it drops drastically to up to fifty percent of the amount you bought it at the crowdsale stage.

The coins aren't dying yet. They seem to be getting much stronger. The coins will eventually have to go away.

I really don’t think ICOs will die. However, I do think the general structure of fundraising will change over time. I recent sign of this is the Gibraltar Blockchain Exchange, which is using a Sponsor model of ICO listing, which adds a higher level of legitimacy to the ICO, as the Sponsoring party has to stake a significant percentage of the fundraising endeavour.
I also think that security tokens will become the next hot ticket item in ICOs, but with that also comes KYC/AML requirements that many here on the forum tend to frown upon.
Long-term (10-20years), I see no reason why every company listed on stock exchanges around the world wouldn’t transition to a blockchain-based security token model. Many will simply swap stocks for tokens, but new companies wanting to list will likely go with an ICO instead of an IPO.

I really do not get how you built up your question. But for the sake of it, I think that ICOs will not die as long as the crypto world is still running. People wil always start new ICOs and the reason would be either they see a problem that needs solutions or because they are eager to have more funds in their wallets and scam people. But whatever that reason would be, ICOs in my opinion will just increase more and more in the coming years. Let's just hope that scams get smaller chances on scamming people in the future.

Block chain is the new direction of future science and technology development, and ioc is the source of funds to maintain blockchain technology.
The blockchain and ico that have practical applications will continue to grow!
The fake ico will be eliminated!
