For now, no one knows when icos might die but it all depends on what happens to the market in general
The market is very sensitive and very volatile, many factors affect the market. I think that the market is more dependent on iso than iso from the market.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Recently learned that more and more ICOs are closing deals through private sales and merely airdropping the coins. Will ICOs die, when will it?

Same question I always ask myself, isn’t the regulatory body SEC gonna do something about this , a lot of ICOs keep on coming up and more and more everyday, the ones already on the exchanges aren’t progressing any more,  The prices of this cryptocurrencies  in the market is appalling, most coins are now pump and dump, noticed it’s only when coins get listed on big exchanges like binance or bithumb that these coins massively pump, after the hype everything goes back to normal, with no signs of progress, what are the causes of such ?? Most of the daily crypto currency traders have opted to investing in icos cause they feel much profit can be gotten, also most are just in for the flipping, they dump immediately it does a * 2 or more , I just hope that these ICOs are regulated and just a few outstanding projects come up, so we can focus our direction on already working products

I think that in the near future investors will stop investing their money in the ICO.  Since the price of coins after entering the exchange is very low.  In my opinion, one of the culprits of this is the decentralized exchanges, which lower the rate.
but not all ICO will experience such a thing if you see ICO Pundi X then there will be no investors stop to invest ICO, someone's point of view is different in assessing an ICO and we also have to be careful for investment if we choose ICO then we will be many lose a lot of money

It is expected that fraudulent schemes with ICOs in the coming year will be settled and verified. There is evidence that in some cases there have been violations of existing rules that increase the owners' capital. The funds raised from such enterprises have already begun to disappear, and the SEC and other regulatory bodies have expressed their intention to deal with such cases.

I think that the age of ICOs is nowhere near over. Yes there are a lot of scam and failed ICOs, but there are also several that have brought a lot of value to the crypto-community. I think that we just need some regulation of them, to make the founders accountable for their actions. Normally the scam ICOs either have a fake team or an anonymous one, so it's not too hard to spot the rotten eggs.

The buzz surrounding the ICO, which caused a lot of interesting headlines, will not die, but for another reason. It is expected that fraudulent schemes with ICOs in the coming year will be settled and verified.

I don't think ICO's will die as long as there are more and more companies wanting to promote there service and products, as long as they want to invest  in cryptocurrencies and as long as there are people who wants to support these companies, ICOs will remain and stay in cryptoworld.

I doubt they'll ever die completely but the regulations will probably tighten up, many of them are basically a security whether they say so or not.

I think that ico will exist for a long time !!! 5 years exactly, and possibly much more.

There's new ICO almost everyday. Each one unique. I don't think ICO will die. I'm expecting more in the future. ICOs are fast profits provided you invested on the right one. I do research before investing. I look at the team first, is their project great. The token tradable and with potential. More to consider. ICO is a chance to know the coin better.

ICO are nearly to eradicate since SEC are planning to make the regulations more tough since many ICO are scam and dangerous on investor. I saw some prediction that ICO mania will end after 2 years. You better enjoy now buying cheap tokens with bonus while it's still available. Maybe in the future , We can just only buy new tokens directly on a centralized exchange.

indeed at this time many ICOs are scam and irresponsible. they just hand out coins but after that they go away.
in the midst of the many ICO scam but there are some successful ICO and have a fairly expensive price.
I think ICO is not going to die because at this time many emerging technologies around the world are using blockchain to fund them for the project to grow fast.

ICO can disappear completely only in two cases.
First. All countries will forbid their residents to take part in ICO, and they will be introduce strict restrictions and fines.
The second. People themselves will not want to invest anything. And the meaning of collecting money will lose relevance.
And the first option and the second is unlikely, so the ICO will continue to live

Initial coin offerings (ICOs) similarly exploded, raising hundreds of millions of dollars around the world in a matter of months. I  expect regulators and authorities worldwide to come down hard on fraudulent ICOs in the new year. That's because many ICOs skirted existing regulation in order to raise equity — with no solid business to back up the offering. What concerns legit ICOs, then it's hard to tell.

yes, maybe we'll forget, but most likely, there will be an improved formula for crypto currency, which will be called differently!

I don't figure ICOs will pass on. ICOs are open each month, there is additionally a considerable measure of garbage ventures, however now this is a wave so it cannot be halted yet. I think there will be ventures with guaranteeing wellbeing for speculators, later on, to make ICOs more secure. ICOs will be less and less, however, there will be numerous undertakings that will profit the group later on. That was my idea.
