Recently learned that more and more ICOs are closing deals through private sales and merely airdropping the coins. Will ICOs die, when will it?

ico will never die, which inevitably the number will decrease. because many investors will be selective in choosing ico because too much ico scam, but that's good, it will make ico scam become lost.

It will not until there is a cryptocurrency that has a future use in the community. Every company that has a certain product will probably take this blockchain technology to their part and utilize it. And of course there are millions on companies out there.

The idea of ICOs itself is great. I am very sorry that many of these projects have turned out to be the scam. Meanwhile, in future, the best ICOs will survive and they will bring their investors real money.

Yes, that is correct, better to choose good ICO project that has a point of view interest of cryptoasset platform and you are the one who decide whether it is good to be work to promote the product or not because there is something behind on this campaign whicj is not properly develop in digital currency aspect form.

It will not die unless there's no cryptocurrencies ICO will die.  As long crypto is there many ICO project will enter. Yes there so many ICO but not all are have a good product or project that's why we need to be careful what ICO we choose.

I think that in fact this type of investment will definitely not die soon. ICOs are an innovative fund raising approach for people with a great idea or invention that want to start a company.  I don't see it going away because it's a superior approach to fund raising than convertible notes or equity financing traditionally used to fund start up companies.  Instead, I see it evolving to make it safer for investors.

Right now, the challenge is how to make an ICO safe for investors prior to the "Token Generation Event", where the public including investors can buy and sell tokens on an exchange for fiat currency.  This is the riskiest period for investors because if there is never a Token Generation Event there isn't a way for investors to trade their yet to be issued tokens.

This is why in the United States at least there is the emergence of the Simple Agreement for Future Tokens or "SAFT".  A SAFT (see saftproject.org) helps protect the interests of both investors and the company.

The downside of a SAFT is only accredited investors may invest in a SAFT.

I think icos will not die, but will change in future, more regulators like sec will join the game and will take some % from ico funds and i hope it will make scammers leave this market.

I see it as a normal thing when ICOs go into private sale. It has been on ground for quite some times now. One thing i can confidently say is that ICO will not dies. So many things are yet to be explored in th crypto space.

Its not a certainty on when ICOs will die, but i really dont think they will ever die, as long as more projects are coming up on a daily basis, and most of hem Using ICOs to raise funds, they will always be there, instead, as  time goes by,people will come up with means of identifying scam ICOs and therefore will not invest in them

i think ICO not die yet. because new ICO still come out with new product and promising. its not sure ICO will die because many people invest in new ICO to get more profit so i think ICO will have future.

I think it impossible to ico die or end because there's so many upcoming I see in a website it would be happen if no one interesting in investing and supporting in ico. but  that's impossible because there's so many investors invest in ico because its really profitable to them.

I think it would only stop if there are no more developer or team that would create a new token ,
Or there are no more investor to buy in their ICO so mostly it is really hard to tell when would the ICO's die or stop .

I doubt ICOs would ever die off. Think about it, this is a way for any team anywhere in the world to raise money without needing to go through regulations, paperwork or legal criteria. Furthermore they can tap into investors worldwide
