Hey guys. I currently have a little over 2btc at my disposal. I was wondering what the safest and best way to flip that into 4btc, and the 4btc into 8btc, etc.

In my view, the safest bet at this point would be do the following:

1. Go to Cryptsy.com
2. Buy 2BTC worth of GLD
3. Join the community
4. Use your talents to help out
5. Watch your investment grow
6. Convert to BTC as needed.

Best of luck regardless of what you decide. And "may all your Bitcoin dreams turn to Gold!"

Go to a online casino supporting bitcoin payment, buy some chips and go to a single zero roulette game, bet all on RED: 47.3% chance to double it  Wink

1. Wait untill BTC doubles its value
2. ??
3. Profit  Shocked

Anyway, don't gamble them. Unless you consider making another thread called 'Best way to turn 0BTC into 2BTC'

Spoiler alert: It's just another crapcoin made by people who didn't strike it rich on Bitcoin. There have literally been dozens, and I'm sure we'll see dozens more long after GLD is forgotten.

On topic. The "best" way is highly subjective. Best for you is to set up something really low-maintenance and watch your money grow by itself...secure loans, bonds, whatever.

Best for the community, on the other hand, would be to take the 2 BTC and invest it in a new service - whether your own or a young service you think has potential. Then reap the dividends later if and when it succeeds. Keeping a virtuous cycle like this going can be highly lucrative and (most importantly) helps promote the usage of BTC as a proper medium of exchange.

Sell, wait for price to halve, buy  Grin
Or the other way around: buy, wait for price to double, and sell.

Seems more likely to me  Smiley

Hey guys. I currently have a little over 2btc at my disposal. I was wondering what the safest and best way to flip that into 4btc, and the 4btc into 8btc, etc. I really want to save up for a powerful ASIC, and am stumped as to how to turn this into more. I've tried exchanges, but end up losing more than I gain. Im looking for a solid and sure way to make coin off of what I have currently. Thanks!

1 mistake and you are poorer, don't do anything and wait the value doubled Smiley

Seriously, the best way I've found is wait till we're in a bubble period like we are right now, wait till a dip like last weekend, and leverage long on BTC.sx. If a downtrend seems to be developing, just pull out at that point.

Obviously you can lose this way too, but if you have a fairly good idea of what you're doing, its so far seemed worth it.

What you never, ever, want to do is sell your Bitcoins into the trend. If we're "popping", then you can sell on the way down, and hope to buy it on the way up. If you do that, you sometimes don't even lose money in bear traps (or if you do, only commission) and you have the potential to multiply your money when the "crash" is real.

Easy, do some trading... buy/sell Litecoin or hash would be a good idea...

I have to say, arbitrage is a pretty save bet. You only get 1-2% a trade, but its safe.
