I will always go for Litecoin as it has the attributes of a coin needed for the decentralized world we are all hoping for.
As for XRP, so many FUD surrounds it and rumour even has it that its coin XRP is not even as important in its eco-system as we are made to believe besides the fact that Ripple is not in alignment with the decentralization objective.
It seems to me that first of all it is necessary to change our world, so that people start thinking differently. It will not be possible for the financial sector of the economy of any country to suddenly become decentralized. In any case, it is Ripple that does everything to connect the crypto currency with the banking system.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Both Ripple and Litecoin has been doing greatly in the market of late with litecoin even outperforming other digital currencies at some point.

between the two, which one would you invest in and why?

litecoin!  litecoin has a better chance to outperform other altcoins.  ripple has just gotten it's moon moment in 2017 when banks adapts into it's blockchain.  the problem with ripple is that the devs team own a large percent of the entire ripple coins.

As far as my concern, I stay away from ripple since it is the basic destabilized of bitcoin in cryptocurrency disguise . Please don't fall for this trap else you will lose the essence of decentralization.

I'm not sure that keeping a litecoin is more profitable than ripple, but certainly more reliable. The coins are radically different from each other. Litecoin is an open blockchain, while Ripple is closed. But most of all I'm interested in the question, what is the function of Ripple tokens traded on the exchanges? I did not find any intelligible explanation! Shocked

I would stay away from both the coins. Both the coins have their drawbacks like Ripple is a centralized coin while Litecoin doesn't has much development going on for it. Why would you choose these coins when there are other well established coins like Ethereum and IOTA to invest in.
yes when compared with the second ETH the coin is still below it. but there's nothing wrong if you want to try investing in Ripple or Litecoin because people's tastes are different. and not everyone can buy ETH. the most important thing is to wait until the price goes up. I'm sure both coins can be profitable.

I see in terms of price because ripple itself price far below litecoin, so it can be a benchmark of our money on the range of how to invest because both would be much advantage. but here I am interested in litecoin I think the price is experiencing a significant increase and the history of the demand for the coin is very much so I suggest more to litecoin.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Anatoly Castella, CEO of Elpis Investments, claimed that XRP was not a real electronic currency. " Ripple is similar a fintech platform that combines the best elements of fiat money and electronic money blockchain. It's 'Digital Fiat' and not electronic money. LiteCoin is second only after Bitcoin, so I still believe LiteCoin will be worth more than ripple.

If there is a comparison between Ripple and Litecoin , I will want to invest in Litecoin. Actually both coins are performing well but i think Litecoin is much better then ripple. because Litecoin is good for a long term investment and more reliable.

I think that now neither the coin nor the other is not the same popularity that was before and very much changed in their teams and in other aspects, I was disappointed with these coins

Both is good. But if ur looking for an increase of value to hundreds of dollars by the end of the year, go with Litecoin. Ripple is mostly a long term thing. Besides Litecoin has the second most secure blockchain, next to Bitcoin. It’s almost identical to Bitcoin, so any trust and adoption rate of Bitcoin should bleed over to Litecoin.

Both coins can go up. But it seems to me that the more reliable coin is LTC. This is a strong project that I like for a long time.

Ripple is almost a centralized coin, It has a big supply and it is the third-ranking crypto coin regards coinmarketcap, But I would not prefer Ripple. Because Between Ripple and Litecoin, Litecoin is far better than Ripple. Litecoin is a very strong and stable coin than Ripple. Ripple shouldn't stay in the third place in crypto rankings.

I think in fame, popularity, values Litecoin is better, and its future will be bright if the bitcoin price recovers again to the 20K USD.

I think if you choose between these coins, then LTC will be much better than Ripple.  I think Ripple will have a bad future.

I would divide the investment between these coins.  I think this is less risky than investing in just one coin.

I do not believe in the success of these coins and I think in the future the price of these coins will only fall.
