Beastlymac, is BlueFury on USB 2.0 spec @ 0.5A or is it over it (like BlockErupters that draw apporx. 0.6A)?
I need to know so as to prepare my hub topology to take in the new units.

Also, just to confirm. If I want an instance of bfgminer to run only the BlueFuries, I'd issue the following command line:

Code:
bfgminer -S bitfury:all -o pool -u user -p pass

Is that correct?
They draw 0.5A from what the EE has told me.
The command would be along the lines of.

Code:
bfgminer -S bigpic:all -o pool -u user -p pass

Also if you are using bfgminer from Luke's build you won't be able to probe for both block eruptor and blue fury as both probes will break each other. If that makes sense?

Message me if you have any problems

Hmm. I plan to run two separate instances of bfgminer, where one instance would only control/probe for Erupters (-S erupter:all), and the other - only BFs (-S bigpic:all).  Hope this works. If not, I'd need to plan for all BlueFuries running from a separate machine.  Huh

I think you should be able to run them on the same machine by specifying the serial port number (for com3 it would be -S //./COM3 on cgminer I haven't used bfg but guess it can also work without probing).

I don't think cgminer has the same issue. One option would be use a old version of bfgminer sub 3.3.0 so it is only compatiable with the block eruptors and then use our version of bfgminer. Theoretically that should work. Luke might know a better idea or he might have some kind of fix in the works I am not sure.

If they are unable to deliver to the address you should be able to pick it up at your local Post Office.

Received 135 Blue Fury units at 4:00pm today and had them packed and at the post office before 5:30pm!

If you didn't receive an e-mail with tracking yet your order will be shipping in Batch #2

Here's a few photos I took while packing:

Checked my e-mail and spam folder this morning: no tracking number for me.  Cry

So there'll be no delivery this Saturday. This starts to look like a 50% chance that I threw BTC5.88 out of the window.

I can have the following outcomes:
- Someone in the family will collect them. If it's not possible without my ID, then they'll eventually be returned to sender.
- If they are successfully collected, that someone in the family will plug them into the prepared USB ports. Then I'll remote to the machine at a later point and will try to launch them. If all goes well without my physical presence, then they'll be hashing, if not, they'll be sitting around doing nothing for a couple of months...

I know, it was stupid of me to actually expect that this time it would be different and ASICs would be manufactured on time and I would have the units in the first week of October...  Sad

I think you should be able to run them on the same machine by specifying the serial port number (for com3 it would be -S //./COM3 on cgminer I haven't used bfg but guess it can also work without probing).

That would be inconvenient, given I have about 70 BES on each machine running them. I'll just plan to deploy BlueFuries on a third machine....

I asked Luke-jr and he replied here:

I think he was saying what I was trying to. The "all" statement make it probe all COM ports and it won't work with both types of miner. If you run them on the same machine then you will have to specify the COM ports in each instance so it doesn't probe.

So yes with 70 BES that would take some time to setup.  Sad

I run Block erupters and a Red fury on one machine. Compiled cgminer without bitfury support and bfgminer with only bitfury support and I run both on the same computer.

From my testing they hot plug fine and hash together on cgminer. We are working to,iro out some kinks with bfgminer.
