Investing in ETH is great idea, but itnot give you a lot of place to quick gain profit, IMHO it just to save your fund. ETH could not give you 10x profit. If it will make 10x BTC should do the same at lest, to hold first place. IMHO BTC and ETH is must have coins, but you should have some high risk and high profit coins too

I havent seen it go way deeper than $800 so it may be right. But the fluctuations to go to $900 seems to be always possible.
A $100 difference is not that bad if you can buy a large portion of it.
But please dont just jump into it. That is my own prediction as of now. My own opinion. You can make your own research if you want.

Some people thinks holding bitcoin is the best and unrisky way. You are sure that bitcoin price will increase and do not want astronomic and risky gains of altcoins and hold bitcoin.
Some people take the risk and buy the altcoins and expect them to make x10 - x20 profit.
Some people are in the middle of those. They take the risk of flippening and invest in ethereum and expects its rising over bitcoin. If this does not happen they are happy with their modest profits.

Yes, I’m holding all my ETH at the moment since it' s been a kind of hectic last couple of months. But I am very bullish on it and will get back when it breaks out of the stagnation. Right now it would be a good time to buy and hold, as the price is low. Ethereum has great potential and I see it reaching $2000 by the end of the year. Their technology is just too good to not break through and this is just the beginning for Ethereum, IMHO.
