Checking ICO scam or not is difficult, but we can see it from the project's whitepaper, and the team behind it

I dont think that simple, many scam ICOs have good whitepapers but mostly have fake developers team. Whitepaper is not the only factor to determine the project are legit, i think the developers team behind is the main factor to project run
that looks good isn't necessarily good so it's hard to know Scam or not.
sometimes we have run uh it turns out the project is a scam, it might happen often.
Until now, I did not understand how to find out if the project was fraudulent. a project that is good or impossible we can understand by reading the project's vision and mission or can know who the team is whether the team can develop well or not.

Do your due diligence research about the people behind the project. Note their pedigree in the market and of course most of these information could be garnered from their whitepaper

To check the ICO scam or not it is necessary to carefully examine all available information about the project and its development team. Read reviews from experts and other people. See reviews of rating sites. And only after that make a decision on investing. However, remember that there will not be a 100% guarantee that the project will not be scammers.

I think that the organizers of the project do not know will be they scammers or not. It is important to understand that people are deceived because of the bad situation in the market. Many projects cannot pay salaries to their employees. But seriously you need to do a thorough analysis of the project.

Do not invest in ICO. 2 years lasted the era of ICO and it ended. Now it is a new era - IEO. At the moment, you can buy coins on well-known exchanges under this scheme. It took a little time and now all the exchanges are true.

right, but sometimes it actually pity them, because they are directly confronted with investors, so they are the first to come in contact with investors. but at least a good project organizer will handle a good project, even though it is not guaranteed

As a new investor, my advice to you is to stay away from ICOs for now and invest only in coins that are already listed on the market because your chances of being scammed is very high. You may decide to go into ICO investment after you are well grounded in crypto investment.

Now scammers are becoming lazy, so first of all you need to check the fake team. If this is all good, then check the physical location of the company.

What if the project is not registered in a particular country? if the project is associated with anonymity. often such projects do not register a company in any country

To start with first checkout the team and their qualifications, then compare with what they are offering to see if it is in accordance. Secondly study the whitepaper it be sure the idea written is possible. Then checkout the community platforms to know how active and how long they are have been working and what they have achieved overtime.
I think this will help a whole lot.

Its good advice and i am agree with your opinion. The developers team is important part in the project and i think their competence againts the project is more needed. Making deep research is important before we make investment and i am believe this can reducing our risk

To check if the ICO was scam or not, here's the things we have to deal with, like reviewing its teams platsforms, tjeir whitepapers and ofcourse the way people responded to the project. If its platforms was clear and gives enough good feedback then its not a scam but if its not better look another bounties to be join of like the dencoin tokens which promoted a holders to buy sell and to trade tokens. Bevause nowadays, as the cryptomarket arises there will also be the scammers that attacks and tricks investor so that they will steal their money.

On how to check if the ICO was scam or not. First thing to do was to check and review all the details about their project like how they run it, also look for its whitepaper if its really seems to be true. Because this time, scammers are everywhere in the cryptomarket just to tricks investors. So, just a tip for everyone only trust a project that has a good whitepapers and also a project which offers a good and true investment like the ETH BTC and also the dencoin which we can be trusted to be part of.

Nowadays, by simply fact that we discuss about an ICO and not an IEO it's a trigger that the project might be a scam.

Most of good projects will choose IEO as they are much reliable and  investors know from the beginning on which exchange the project will be listed.

I agree, checking the development team is the first thing that can help identify dishonest project. I think also we need to check the balance of wallet which received investments

I would try to add - you need to check the real accounts of developers in social networks and linkedin - so that they were and were not created for the ICO, but at least a year before.
As a rule, people risk about their real name and dont want to make clean scam projects with a clear link to themselves

The truth of this matter is that, it is near impossible to know a scam project especially if conducted by professional in the crypto community.
We can watch this few signals or signs, No product ICO. Project with unrealistic promises etc

The team is the most important thing. Team that created successful crypto project has greater chance to create another successful project than some newbies in crypo field.  Smiley

In my opinion it is very difficult to qualify scam project after run some days. Because there are many projects that run for a long time, but at one time they scam. But at the beginning of the project you will need to qualify a lot about those projects. team member at the first think, second project development, (telegram, social media activity support), Whitepapper proof, web register everything you need check before your investment.
