Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Awesome to see the infamous Cast XMR is now supporting XHV and CryptoNight heavy!

http://www.gandalph3000.com/cast_xmr/cast-xmr-cryptonight-miner-for-rx-vega-update/

XHV uses a modified Heavy algo.

XHV uses a modified Heavy algo.
Now Cast works very well with Heavy algo.
On my rigs:
1500Hs on Vega 64,
1430Hs on Vega 56,
890/910Hs on RX580 Gygabite hynix memory

Gandalph the developer, has a twitter account where he gives updates and some tips on tweaking performance or problem solving.
So far so good.

Is there any other XMR-STAK version supporting Haven algo other than https://github.com/IndeedMiners/xmr-aeon-stak/releases?

Preferably Linux releases or one with source so i can build myself?

The standard xmr-stak 242 doesnt support haven on linux/windows.

Compile the xmr-stak dev branch, it has haven in it already, problem solved.

If anyone finds this information useful, feel free to leave me a merit Wink

Won't there need to be an oracle of some sort to verify the current price of XHV when people redeem their burned tokens? What are the plans for this and how it can be protected from being manipulated?

i have xmrig . the last one .  miner close with my settings .  i put cryptonight heavy .     do i have to suppress the line     : variant  ?
i have 2 threads for each vega 56   intensity 1932  .      is that wrong for heavy ?    thanks

`variant` - leave it as it is, it is ignored for `heavy`.
i used default settings for intensity for xmrig, do not know best value.
for srbminer and vega56 - the most i can get is "double-threads": true, and "intensity": 60

Sincerely yours,
https://haven.miner.rocks

thanks  . going to try that

With an RX580, you should be getting a good bit more than 550 H/s. I have RX570s and I get 630 H/s per GPU. This is after I overclocked both core and memory.
