Reducing it first then totally stop. You can stop smoking if you want to help yourself. It is better to make busy to yourself to make your body healthy. Like going into the gym.

Smokers often start smoking because friends and family do. But they keep smoking because  they get addicted to nicotine, one of the chemicals in cigarettes and tobacco. To help you quit smoking, you will need to change your behavior and tell your family and friends that you are planning to quit because you will need their moral support and encouragement.  Set the quit date and write down all the reasons why you want to quit smoking. Keep that list where you can see it. Throw away all your cigarettes and be prepared for nicotine-withdrawal syndromes. Quitting is hard but not impossible.

You could really stop if you want to. I know it's hard to stop what you are addicted for. But if you really want to stop you don't go for temptations that you wanna really stop. Make it a goal. No for smoking. Cause smoking is dangerous to your health.

First of thanks for every suggestion. I slowly over the years became a smoker. I became aware of my addiction. I tried quiting several timer, but every time I would come back to it and smoke even more.

I tried two things so far:

1. Fully stoping to smoke
2. Gradually reducing

But it backfired every time. How did you stop?



I'm not a smoker, but just like any other addictive habbits. I suggest that you focus and clear your mind with your practical reasons why you wanted to quit smoking. And then fully stop it and isolate yourself with anything to do with that habbit. Have a diverted activities to occupy yourself so that you will not think of that

Every one knows smoking is bad habit yet we are smoking, it is very harmful for our health.so many desies we are affected by smoking so we should quit smoking. To quit smoking is defend on you if you want to quit smoking just now promise that from now I reject smoking.

It is not easy to stop what you have been addicted to. But when it  comes to the issue of life one needs to put in what it would take to stop it


I agree with you. Quitting smoking is not easy specially when we used to it. I think most smokers these days have it as a way to relueve stress and anxiety. However, it has negative effects in our health and body. Better to start quitting it by pushing hard and by disciplining ourselves. If there's a way there's a will. If we really want to do something then we must work hard for it

Make a list of all the reasons why you want to quit. This will help you become clear about your decision to quit. For example, your list might say something like: I want to quit smoking so I can run and keep up with my son during soccer practice, have more energy, be alive to see my youngest grandchild get married, or save money.

This is a very stupid suggestion. Salt can't combat the withdrawal symptoms for tobacco. On the other hand, over-consumption of common salt can destroy your kidneys. If you are serious about quitting cigarettes, then you should rather try nicotine-rich alternatives such as Nicorette chewing gum and e-cigarettes.

Stopping quickly at all will not help you. You should do it very slowly. If you smoke 10 cigarettes a day, make it 9 then 8 another week until you only smoke 1 and then after that you are getting close stopping at all.

quitting smoking is a choice. if you choose to live life longer, quit smoking. smoking is dangerous to your health. pretty sure it’s not an easy task but with the courage to be able to quit smoking, you will be able to quit from it. without courage, everything will always be a plan. a plan without action.

Keep your self busy, and exercise a lot, sooner or later you will overcome that addiction.

I am a smoker too, but I stop few years ago. The first thing I did is I throw away my lighter and I stay away from smokers. Since the only place where no one smokes is the house, I stayed there most of the time instead of walking and chatting with friends.

Then later on I purchase a stationary bike, I exercise regularly and now, I don't smoke anymore.

Don't force your self if you can't do what I did, there are other ways to quit smoking, just search the google and you will find tons of suggestions, then choose which one is easier for you.

smoking does have a nicotine substance that makes its users addicted, the most powerful way to stop smoking is first we have a strong intention to stop, the second try not to hang out with a friend who smokes, the third you can vent by way of your hobby, if you sure do want to quit, and have a strong determination, I am sure dwngan way earlier, you can definitely stop smoking

For me  I think, stopped smoking  cigarettes by telling my self first , encouraging and believing yourself is one of foundation to build strong motivation  to your self,by making the right decision it's only way fuel ,that you're desicion make it happened, usually what holding us from back quitting is our beliefs,that is smoking is  imposible,, quitting,that's why believe also your potential and you'll will be successful,

Vaping really helps alot of my friends and family to stop the filthy habit of smoking. It actually gives you the same oral fix of sucking and blowing a smoke like vapor bit still give you the nicotine fix. The most dangerous part of smoking the where we actually burn the tobacco leaves and inhale the smoke. With vaping you eliminate that but still gives you nicotine in to your lungs. The best thing with vaping is that you could taper down the levels of nicotine so it makes quitting easier.

I did not tried smoking ever since. But for me it is better to slowly minimize the number of cigarette sticks you smoke. If you can consume 5 sticks a day then make it 4 next week, then minus 1 the next weeks until fully stoping to smoke. If you feel you like to smoke then you can just chew a gum or menthol candy that might help.

I can't quit myself too, and have planned many times and it always backfired and I started with even a higher intensity. Than I got married and promised my wife that I will never smoke in front of you. That is working well so far, I still smoke but now very much in control.

It is very difficult to escape from the opium of cigarettes, it takes a hard effort. We all know that smoking is bad to our health and if you are concern about your health and your future as well you can stop it... As long as your mind and your body coordinates with that goal you can easily stop... Its depend only to you and to your decision  if you want to quit with that kind of habits  Smiley
