Due to recent catastrophic events (if you watch or read the news, you'll know about the earthquake and storms), your generosity is more appreciated now than ever. Almost 100% of your donations goes to buying bags of food. (0.00001% or something small / whatever was leftover goes to some kid selling sampaguita flowers on the street.)

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Of course it's legit. Smiley Everyone can see in the blockchain where the coins are going; to someone who buys the bitcoins for a good charitable rate, which I then use to buy the bags.

I just got this email:

Quote
Be a Force for Good and give aid to the victims of the Bohol-Cebu Earthquake

At Nu Skin, we are gravely concerned for all those affected by the devastating calamity that occurred in Bohol and Cebu last October 15. A magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit the two provinces and neighboring areas, and the destructive tremor has claimed at least 185 lives and has affected more than three million people in eight cities and 52 towns. Our very own local VitaMeal partner, Feed the Children Philippines, and the people who comprise it, were not spared from this disaster as FTCP holds its main office in Cebu. With residents still missing, hundreds of thousands of people seeking food and shelter, and homes, roads, and centuries-old infrastructure severely damaged, the people of Central Visayas need all the aid they can get as they try to recover from this tragic blow.

It is in this light that we call upon our Nu Skin family of distributors and employees, who have consistently shown commitment to our mission of being a Force For Good especially to those most in need. As an initial donation, the Nu Skin Philippines corporate office donated Php 100,000 in cash to Feed the Children Philippines, who despite being affected by the earthquake, continue with their operations to prepare and distribute meals containing VitaMeal to alleviate hunger in the area. The people of Bohol and Cebu are still in urgent need of your help, and we sincerely hope you can join us in our efforts to give aid to the victims of our country’s most recent calamity. Any amount is most welcome and can be sent to 1food14NCLas1FssyKnf2MgGZcwUFRKXE

We, at Nu Skin Enterprises Philippines, are genuinely grateful for all the kind hearts that make up this company, and who express compassion and prayers for all those affected by this misfortune. We thank you for all your help, and for steadfastly living by our mission to be a Force For Good.

Message has been edited by Dabs to insert the bitcoin donation address. (You could of course, send your fiat donations to the head office.)

I looked at the tx to see why you have such a suspicion and saw why. If you suspect me, sorry it wasn't it. Now, I too have to thank them for Bitcoin 100's donation, as well as for the one to Sean's Outpost on their behalf.

Wow. THIS is what Bitcoin needs. Bitcoin needs this and anything that pops up around it.
I will definitely be sharing this thread regularly, and donating when I can.

I shaved before going to his place. I used my new Edwin Jagger Double Edge Razor that I recently bought from Amazon. I like old-fashioned mechanical devices / gadgets.

That "TAG" RFID white bracelet/baller id has 1 TAG in it, coming from the man himself. It will probably be worth something a few years from now. (and I'll be sure to add some more TAGs in it.)

The black bag behind me, uh ... guess what's in it? (Hint: it's an old fashioned mechanical device designed in 1911, actually earlier, but it's known for that particular year.)

Oh man.. This project really get my heart pumping harder. I adore people like Dabs that steps in and help people that having a hard time.
I live in Sweden and my kids is having the best of everything all the time. I almost get sick when thinking about parents that cant even feed their kids everyday. This is a screwed up world.

This is a really big market for scammers but i am convinced that Dabs is the real thing.
1btc is coming to your adress later today !

I dare everyone to do the same ! 1btc is probably nothing for many people in other parts of the world.

Keep this project running ! I would love to see some pics later on.

Best regards

No longer active on bitcointalk, however, you can still reach me via PMs if needed.
