The scammers are everywhere now and one has to be very carefully in order not to fall victim of scam. Not only on Twitter but everywhere. They have been able to have several contact information of people by collating them through fake airdrop announcement.

This is quite unfortunate that we have such dishonest people around, we need to be cautious when we are online. Twitter is full of scammers, let's beware.

Yikes. How the hell are the scammers getting the blue "verified" tick? Shouldn't be that easy right? Twitter needs to up their game as soon as possible.
They are hacking people outside of cryptocurrency with verified badges and then changing their name. On other platforms, if you change your name you have to get reverified ( which only seems right ) but I guess on twitter you don't have too. yes, the account they are hacking does not recognize crypto, they hack it and change it as if they are professionals in crypto. twitter is not as tight as facebook, facebook is not as easy as changing a different name away from the previous name, but why do people still use twitter? is not facebook safer?

Not only are the scammers doing the fake accounts that say "send .02 BTC and get triple" but apparently now they are either buying verified accounts or hacking them and changing the names and pictures to cryptocurrency people. Now it can actually be hard to tell if someone is scamming.
An example:https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/967887920991559681
Really shitty that this is happening. Be careful everyone
A sad truth about the bitcoin market. Since bitcoin become popular many people used it to scam to other people. They rather used dummy accounts on twitter promising a high rate of btc for change of money or hacking their account. It can cause doubts for investors. For all.of these we must be aware of the right way of using bitcoins

This is really a good time to be vigilant on the internet. A whole lot of things may look real but will eventually be a scam. First of all, you should check a lot of social media platforms to confirm the originality of a project and not from one source.

This kind of Twitter scams are really very common. The most annoying thing is that apart from them just tweeting from their scam Twitter handles, they also spam you several times tagging you in the tweets. Most of them do it to raise Twitter followers and also to steal from people. Twitter need to take action against such criminals. This is why I no longer participate in Twitter airdrops.

While bitcoin gains its popularity many people uses it in a bad cause. It is a sad reality that bitcoin market is facing. Scammers used dummy accounts on twitter which says promise of gaing bitcoin by sending them off some crypto or cash. Other form scam.can be in form of hacking your account thru sending dm that when you click.automatically gives you a virus which used.in hacking.

We all must be very careful joining a new project and opening some links. If you don't treat information about it you can be even hacked

the recent social media industry has been battling with series of hacking operations most especially with accounts of facebook and twitter. i will advice that all should activate the two-factor authentication on all social media accounts to avoid having their accounts being hijacked by scammers.

Has anyone notice whenever mcafee or charlie lee makes a tweet, the first few tweets that show up under it is the scammer pretending to be macafee or that ETH guy and then they say send 0.1 eth or 0.1 btc and get back 1 eth or 1 btc? And then they post a link right below it in the next tweet etc? There is like 3 tweets right below the mcafee tweet and they post a link or 2 links.
Does anyone know if clicking those links automatically make whatever device you use hacked whether its your phone or your computer? I assume if its your phone, its not that bad if you dont keep your coins there? However, wouldnt they have access to your email account though if you click on the link and say you are signed in your email on your phone which almost everyone does?
What if you click on it on your computer? Do you automatically get hacked with whatever wallet or email when you log into computer? Or its only if you click on the link and then enter some information? Example i know if you click on certain phishing sites and put in account details, you get hacked that way. But i like to know does clicking on those links automatically mean you get hacked?
