Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

They are everywhere now, swindling money from newbies and even those whom have been long in the game, I think this forum should have a thread for information and update on the style in which this people operate

Not only are the scammers doing the fake accounts that say "send .02 BTC and get triple" but apparently now they are either buying verified accounts or hacking them and changing the names and pictures to cryptocurrency people. Now it can actually be hard to tell if someone is scamming.

An example:https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/967887920991559681

Really shitty that this is happening. Be careful everyone
I think bitcoin is suppose to be most trustable and confidential site and crypto currency in terms is security and it is just next to impossible to hack or crack any bitcoin transactions and I think there must be a tag line for them that we are known for the security but no one can control the fraud, it’s totally depends on the user , bitcoin clearly states that be very much cautious while transacting through any unknown user because they could not be verified and the same issue has happen with me , I got looted with thousands of bitcoin in like one of these frauds.

Well if you have to warn a person to not fall for the "send .02 BTC and get triple" it's a lost case. Any human being falling for that is driven by greed.  Shocked

Why do people believe in such messages, the swindler can be seen at once - they promise income simply from the sky? Huh
Those who send their Bitcoin, they themselves are willing to get easy income and lose everything. Undecided

Lets all just watch very well. There is a way to know these scammers. There is always diffrrence between real and clone account. Dong rush or hurry to do anything, check well before doing anything.

I can't understand who believes in this. Nobody will give you free money, but people want to get it. I have a friend who has sent nearly 0,2 ETH and lost them... It you want to earn money or digital assets, you should make something!

Yikes. How the hell are the scammers getting the blue "verified" tick? Shouldn't be that easy right? Twitter needs to up their game as soon as possible.

They are hacking people outside of cryptocurrency with verified badges and then changing their name. On other platforms, if you change your name you have to get reverified ( which only seems right ) but I guess on twitter you don't have too.

How have they managed to hack on twitter accounts? Are their security too low? Twitter is one of the billion dollars companies so I thought their security is the latest.
