I dont join ICO with KYC because dont like to give my personal information to anyone. Also i still think that cryptocurrency has to be anonymous. If project is really good - i will better wait it to hit exchanges and buy.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

It has kind of become an unavoidable situation for ICO investors. This is kind of a frustrating thing as we don't know whether the corresponding ICO is going to scam or not. If that ICO scams then they might as well sell our personal data to crime organisation. This is kind of scary thought!

I think that kyc isn't really necessary in every bounty, because it will need extra time for that, and some bounty hunter can't provide kyc procedure because of the privacy

for me first of all very strong arguments are the prospect of the project, and not the provision of personal data. If I'm sure that the ico company will bring me a good profit, I'll risk giving them my personal data.

ICOs that do not conduct KYC, can not then listing on a good centralized exchange. Therefore, this condition is necessary for earning money.

Any project that requires our identification should be kicked to the curb.   Why they would even think about taking this data from us is cause for concern and shows a high probability of a scam.  If you send in your data for one of these coins I would get a service to protect me from identity theft as you have made a critical mistake in your personal security.

Personally im always wary of this. I am skeptical about  giving my details out to projects. A lot of identity theft goes on this days and there's a high risk of your data being used for fraudulent purposes

KYC could be only for the investors who purchased the token during ICO, and for me this procedure will become complicated because I joined alot of bounty programs

I think that this procedure does not make sense. Since you can buy documents and go through this procedure.

I often participate in ICOs using KYC in its purchasing system, but sometimes ICOs are using KYCs that fail in sales that do not reach softcap targets so coins can not be listing on exchange

Do any of you participate in ICOs that requires KYC (Know your Customer). We actually experienced this one on exchanges but how about in partipating in ICOs or just even in airdrop that requires KYC.

I think it depends as for me as they are many scams as well just getting your information. In some instances, we can be blind sometimes, mkay? I really do not join airdrops if it requires too needy to get your personal information.

I believe some people are not cautious as long as they can join airdrops. How about you? What are your thoughts about KYC in ICOS?
KYC or no KYC, it really doesnt make any difference as far as I am concerned.I have seen even scam project saying they will conduct KYC and ended up scamming investors

In my opinion KYC is definitely good sign about the project. I mean it is not "green light" to go all in, but if they are require KYC that mean they have real plans for the project. Because what the point to do KYC for scam projects? This way the will get way less potential investors.

All icos want kyc at these days and they must want also, there is no rule, there is no regulation so sometimes this can be bad for teams and participator, we cant know participator are real or not if we dont want kyc for example.

No way to ICO's.  I will not participate in them and consider them a scam right off the bat.  anyone asking for my government ID to be sent over the internet and to be stored is no friend of mine.  This is why we have all the identity theft going on right now.  There are a few articles around here talking about hackers getting into a KYC database and stealing everyone's identity.

I never participate in ICO where KYC is required because I do not understand the advantages. I have to send my data to third parties who are then free to dispose of my data as they want.

Well before, for me KYC doesn't really matter as long as when i think the project has a potential I join it, I never thought about it before so I always join whenever I feel like but now I'm getting worried about the details I sent to them that might not be put in a good use. I think I need to reconsider the cons and pros before joining now.

I try to find ICO without KYC. Don't like when someone unknown, asks me my personal information. Moreover, bounty with KYC guarantees nothing and it doesn't mean that bounty has a potential, it can also scam, so no need to complicate.

KYC is just a document to verify your identity and if any ICO requires it as per their document then there is no objection to give that. I don't have any problem to give KYC if it is mandatory to participate.
