I do join ICO that requires KYC  but not always because there are still some that does not require KYC. KYC which is Know Your Customers is required for some ICOs due to restrictions in some countries.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I think there is nothing wrong if you really have chosen a project for investment and are ready to invest in it your money then the passage of the procedure KYC should not cause you to abandon this project! But I do not advise to undergo KYC in different airdrop and dubious companies.

Yes I joined them because its not a problem to do KYC for me. But i think its not fair to those who couldn't join because of KYC issues. I hope thing going to be better for the future.

It would be good if the project requires kyc for bounty hunters to prevent those people who have multiple account. It is also effecient to determine those bounty farmers with more than one account in the project.

For most honest workers, KYC is acceptable, but it must be explained before starting. As far as I know, some new people do not know how to pass it.

Some of the best projects that are currently underway require the verification of the identity of the depositor. And this is often very good if you look at hundreds of projects that are similar to each other, only where there is a good team, and where they want to know their investors are good investments.

to participate in ICO that requires kyc is really safe and good to participate and also in every exchange but for airdrops I better stay away from it.

Do any of you participate in ICOs that requires KYC (Know your Customer). We actually experienced this one on exchanges but how about in partipating in ICOs or just even in airdrop that requires KYC.

I think it depends as for me as they are many scams as well just getting your information. In some instances, we can be blind sometimes, mkay? I really do not join airdrops if it requires too needy to get your personal information.

I believe some people are not cautious as long as they can join airdrops. How about you? What are your thoughts about KYC in ICOS?

I've had an ICO with KYC. I believe that, as long as it's a worthwhile project, KYC is a guarantee that you'll receive your profits. I've participated in Cryptics presales, for instance, though I'll be in need of passing KYC before the ICO - I put my faith in this product, and I'm sure I'll get what I need after ending of ICO. So, watch and spend carefully

if you invest in an ICO, then in any case you should go through KYC , and if you join the generosity of the company, then I think there is nothing wrong, but on the contrary, even better, but only when the total amount after passing KYC is distributed among all participants who passed KYC

Is it dangerous to share my information with ICO in the case it is a scam?
What can they do with this information?

Yes, I icos which requires ICO because I don't find it hard since they just require us to submit kyc for security purposes. It is still important that we follow the given rules and requirements of an ICO for it will affect the success of the project. It isn't hard though.

i am not a friend of kyc at all. Thats not what Crypto is made for.

As there are more and more Goverments take a closer look to crypto gains i think its part of the game now.

But it always depends on the Project. ATM i am looking into Blockpit. A young Austrian Startup. As there are in Austria are very strikt financial and data protection rules i feel very confident that my datas are safe.
If u like take a look at my blog Post

To tell the truth, I do not like the idea of KYC. In my opinion, it violates anonymity.  I understand that it was created to avoid use of multiple accounts and fraud. But I don’t like the idea that my personal information will be sent to people I don’t know and they can use it as they want.

Sometimes I do it if I see an interesting project. But I try to avoid KYC if I can. Exceptions only. But if you can I don't see any problem to buy documents for KYC. It's not difficult.

I will never join an ICO that require my personal information on top of my money with them. Never! If kyc is ever needed, it should be other way round not the retail investor like me. Most of the beneficiary of many ICO are unknown. Not only are they unknown they are also not accountable to anyone. Hope we can find solution to that or regulations will come.

If it is a nice project, KYC is no problem for me. I don't think, they would use my id copy for something bad, and illegal.
