Alia claims to know Dave from Wallet Recovery Services in real life.

I'm close friends with Dave in real life (who has the best wallet recovery service around) and I can get his requested expedited.

At the time, I took an archive of the whole thread because a wallet recovery scammer tried to rope Alia in.  I asked her privately for her Skype log.  She did not seem interested in pursuing the matter.

https://web.archive.org/web/20180218040114/https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2969896.0

Alia, if you’re legit, I just saved you.  If not, well—I probably closed the case.

I will ping Dave.

Did you realize that it's not just about her personality, but also about the business she does? That's why you did NOT saved her. I think everyone has noticed that you can not trust alia. The many reasons for this can be found in this thread!

Welp. That changes things. Looks like this whole thread is illegal! I'm shutting down operations with current clients and am locking this thread, thanks RHavar.

That's another reason why you should not trust her. Now she pretends to have known nothing. But of course only after she has been painted red.

condoras trusted me with 14.6 LTC (~$2000+). nullius trusted me with 0.01 BTC. TelevisionLover trusted me with 0.3+ BTC. Several people on Skype trusted me with well over 5 BTC. aTriz has trusted me with .1+ BTC. Keep making accusations, but the proof is in the deals I have made. I have never once attempted to scam anyone, and never well. Go back to your own account, mday.

It’s “not just” about the identity of the individual controlling this account.  But that’s the biggest question—and the one which was supposed to have been disposed authoritatively with IP evidence!

It’s also a threshold question.

If there exists such a person as Alia and she has been telling the truth about that, there is a huge difference in the case between that and it all just being one big long-con lie from start to finish.

If there does not exist such a person as Alia, and if “alia” = “favours”, then there are no remaining questions worth asking.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"

As for my legitimacy, I invite anyone to Skype me when I return from college today, and I will prove that I am who I say I am.
I usually see ibminer as a good candidate for reviewing evidence, but I'm pretty sure he won't be willing to go for this one. @ib Tongue
I'm curious if the proof will be in the form of a fake ID?  is the "FWB" she has spoken of her little brother?  oh I'm so confused... a Skype session... maybe there will be boobs... I do like boobs ... bah, give me a break. I wouldn't want to touch that with a 10 foot pole hop VPN.

An interesting post asking for an ID using the name "Alia Armelle" not too long before this "alia_armelle" account was created (account name has recently changed to "alia"?)

screenshot of cached page: https://i.imgur.com/qa0i37u.png
https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:teDI4x4GuO4J:https://www.reddit.com/r/forhire/comments/7rfy66/hiring_need_somebody_to_photoshop_an_id_for_me/
(had to use cache, original is deleted)

And the same account on reddit that asked for this ID (revcback) is apparently only 15:

And oddly enough, this same account (revcback) uses "Daily Discussion" frequently on reddit as seen here in the last posts.
"Daily Discussion" is displayed on the first tab of the screenshot provided by the "alia" account in the OP of this thread):
https://imgur.com/a/CMdja

If it were me, I'd stay far away from this account for numerous reasons.

Daily Discussion is a BitcoinMarkets thread which thousands of people post on every day. And thank you for showing me the ID thing, I need to have a chat with him about that. I suspect he was trying to get into one of my exchange accounts for something that I did to him, personal stuff, but mainly petty brother-sister feuds.

I've never seen a brother-sister feud lead to identity theft in order to access an exchange account. A whole family of shady people  Huh  I can only imagine what you could do to him in retaliation for this (and I so hope it doesn't involve Skype)... oh, those brother-sister feuds.  Huh

Ibminer, it sounds like you are bowing out of this identity verification process?

However, you level of skepticism and your trustworthiness by all sides seems to make you nearly perfect for the job - except perhaps if you believe that you know someone who might be better suited for such task, then it would likely bring a quick resolution to this matter...

I am on the same page that the odds seem quite low that alia's story is going to pan out, especially a supposed 15 year old brother that has had time to scheme to the level of his already seeming schemes, and alia's adding up walking contradictions, too, so sure, see a couple boobs in the process.. and so what it is all for the good of the forum and just another piece of drama to potentially chalk up to the archives of BTC_talk history.  i am sure that in the event that you are not clear about how to proceed, you would be able to enlist a vast array of talent for behind the BTC_talk scene's consulting regarding how to engage in the ID confirmation process that quite likely to include riddle and humor.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

I will ping Dave.

I PMed walletrecoveryservices.  Will follow up with e-mail, as soon as I can catch a breather from this thread.

Alia, if you have any other fascinating IRL buddies who would have any real credibility and reputational risk here, now would be a good time to ask them to step forward.  Also, it would behoove you to ping Dave yourself.  If you actually know him, then you can probably get a response from him much faster than some weird message to his business address about a scam accusation and challenged IP evidence—right?  Your public post made it sound like you have a direct line to him.

Edit, P.S.:

Someone who knows you IRL could also vouch that you have a 15-year-old brother—right?

You're probably thinking of a different Dave, but yes, I'll get to it. I'm still waiting for you (or anyone) to show me who I scammed.

Hang on, dear.  Let’s take one thing at a time.  A few others have been chatting about who would make a trustworthy investigator to video-interview you and your brother.  Meanwhile, I am asking a rather simple question:

You're probably thinking of a different Dave, but yes, I'll get to it. I'm still waiting for you (or anyone) to show me who I scammed.

Please understand:  If you’re innocent, then I am sincerely trying to help you, with my apologies for being perforce a bit rough.  If you’re guilty, then I am sincerely trying to cook you alive in public—with no apologies whatsoever.  You have first-hand knowledge of which case is true.

Edit:

I would like to apologize again to nullius! He proved to me that you can trust him. Of course that's just my personal view!

Thanks.  I’ll tell you what:  Let’s talk about this after we discover just how many persons named “Dave” run a “wallet recovery service” widely known as “the best”.  Thus far, in all my experience with Bitcoin, I have heard of exactly one.

I know a Dave, who recovers wallets - the "best" was a bit of shilling on my part, I am unaware about whether he is the best or not. And if I am guilty... of what exactly? Faking sales? Scamming? Lying about my identity? I have done none of these things.

I want for you to understand, Alia, that I am absolutely fair in this matter.  If you have been truthful with me, then I am on your side—if.  You may rely on that.

I'm not sure if that's him on BCT or Twitter, but that is definitely not his website. Let me ping him and ask if I can reveal more.

Also, it's okay, I don't need your apology. Do whatever you want. Turns out all that sweet-talking via PM was fake; I was actually starting to really really like you. There's no need to be an asshole to people without proper evidence. You're becoming just like the rest of them.
