One thing OP missed about the effects of gambling is it makes a person more confident. It makes a person feel that when he achieves his goal, the more confidence he feels even if it is just on that game. Although there are negative effects like what you've mentioned but I don't think it applies to everyone. Gambling made me a better person and learned a lot from it.

Not sure in which way this gambling can build confidence as most of the time we just loses our money, but if you think that way and you really gaining that out from your gambling activity just add extra precautions, because most of the time also a lots of stress followed when we aren't lucky enough to win our bets, better to be well aware of each effects of your gambling activity.

I agree , Confidence sometimes fail specially on gambling. We can say that you are betting on the team you support but you dont make study on the enemy of your team chosen, There will be a high chance of losing your bet because gambling is the way you risk your money on a sure thing.

Confidence has only validity if the gambler is really skilled. Empty confidence, based in pure lucky will only lead to the bankruptcy. But I agree it is one of the gambling's effects when the gambler is constantly winning during a session or during few days. It's a very dangerous effect, and as was said, that can lead to bankruptcy if the gambler is blind by his confidence that end being greed.

It is a good habit in life to try and take out the things that apply these negative effects in your life.
So if gambling does anything you listed under the section of bad things that can effect your life,
you definitely try and expel those out of it and just focus on the things that you are not risking the happiness and good things that you should focusing on such as family and friends instead.

Making friends in gambling isn't that good idea. Gambling alone is different compared to gambling with friends. I agree the negative effects of gambling, but I do not agree on the positive effects of gambling. I think there is another way to earn money quickly, have new friends or get pleasure. Gambling will make us destroyed. People who are proficient in gambling require a long process. Not only time, but also a lot of money to be sacrificed to become an expert in gambling. While your money is not necessarily a lot, and you are not necessarily in a short time, it can be adept at gambling. So my advice is to find the fun that can make money apart from gambling. Maybe by working according to your hobby.

There are winners and losers! And many of us in the middle, sometimes we win sometimes we lose, that is life not just gambling. Gambling is like any other vice, its good if you know how to control it, if you let gambling to control you then you are in problem, that is the same as with wife at home if you have it, or on your job, you can't allow wife to control you or your boss, you can't allow alcohol to control you. Winners knows the game and they play it for pleasure and for prize, to be a winner you need to be smarter, better then others and if you know how to achieve that with minimum loses then you are a pro.

There are glances with situations and think that it's the reason why it is happening and we are looking to blame for something or someone for that incident. And in his case, he's totally blaming gambling for the business related matter with his friend.

It may be useless to some but some, it may be useful. I fully get your point though, and even though these gambling sites have a chat system, it is not like you are all going to end up meeting yourself in real life or you can even get to know personally.

All your friendship at the end of the day is limited to the gambling world and the platform, so the making of new friends is totally out of it.
