It doesn't matter if it is only free satoshis from the gambling site if you are not addicted in gambling, using those is a way of playing safe in gambling, you are enjoying it because you know that you are not going to lose any money of yours that you've earned from your blood and sweat, and that defines "Enjoying gambling" because you can't enjoy playing it if you are worrying you could lose your money.

Maybe that small amount won't last long, but who cares, if you are not playing gambling for profits then it is not that bad instead of risking your money just to figure out if gambling is really fun.

I can even say that playing using faucet is not even gambling because you do not take any risks by using faucet. Gambling in general should have a risk factor of losing our own money in order to win something. If you only use faucet all the time without making any deposits, then you are not a gambler. I dont know what is the right words to describe, but you are playing only. Not gambling obviously.

Why focus so much on individuals? Look at the countries where gambling is 100% legalized, such as Macau and Monaco. These countries have become super-rich due to the tax revenues from casinos. Also, huge number of jobs are created as a result of gambling.  

Yes some countries have legalize gambling, but still they have restricted the under age people from visiting casino and play gambling there. I think t hat it is a good decision it can prevent young people from wasting their time by visiting casinos.

Well, I can understand from your angle that everyone is entitled to their own decision making process, and gambling is one thing that really should take proper decision before even considering it.

The funniest part is that some people still tend to understand how gambling can easily affect the gamblers in most cases and still end up getting addicted to it anyway. It seems that the industry has some way of pulling the wool over their eyes so that they cannot see the destruction that awaits them. Personally, I think addiction based gambling is an extremely difficult issue to crack, as it keeps being reinforced with moments of joy (small wins) which somehow balance out the extreme lows (losing big). Personally, I don’t gamble with anything more than $50, and rarely do so even at that, because I know how much of a landslide gambling can turn into.

I can even say that playing using faucet is not even gambling because you do not take any risks by using faucet. We call people who only use the faucet to play on gambling sites without making deposits as abusers. And at this time, such activities will no longer be accepted. Most gambling sites will halt users from withdrawing money generated from such activities.

The biggest factor here is self control, the greed to win more never gets satisfied until one loses every coin he have. Instead of celebrating, you'll end up crying.

It will be hard for someone to have this self-control if he is too confident about himself because he is winning in gambling, it is a bait where if he bite it, the next time thing that would happen to him is he is starting to lose his money. Addicts rarely do admit the consequences of being addicted to something because they don't want to face it. Talking about it to someone might lead to facing the matter and they probably have tried doing so in the past and have failed, hence, the skepticism. They don't want to touch the topic at all.

Our brain has a 'reward system' which gives us dopamine rush whenever we do something rewarding such as gambling. The dopamine rush that you get from gambling is almost as intense as the dopamine rush that you get from substance (drugs). There are people who do not experience a dopamine rush over normal events unlike other people. They are more prone in becoming a gambling addict than most. Since the dopamine rush in gambling is so high, it's where they have found a way to finally get a dopamine rush. Hence, they eventually become a gambling addict.

The moments of joy doesn't really balance out the extreme lows. It's rather because of the partial reinforcement effect that makes you keep on betting. When gambling, you don't know when are you going to win but you do know that eventually you are going to win. This makes you think that losing is just a part of what it takes to win and so you continuously gamble until you finally win.

And of course eventually your brain gets used to the dopamine that gambling is giving us. This makes gambling addicts take it to a more extreme level (i.e. gambling with higher bets) just so they can feel that same dopamine rush that they get when they first started gambling.

Personally i have seen a lot of gamblers who put everything inside gambling to get huge returns. They indeed are greedy and loose everything due to their greed. These kind of gamblers invest more and more untill they think that the bet is of no use and untill this time comes, they have already lost all of their funds making them bankrupt. Yes, gambling can make individuals bankrupt if you are having a lot of greed in your minds. First and foremost rule for gamblers is to keep there greed out of their business orelse it will eat their business and will leave nothing with them.

I am pretty much convinced by this theory. It is the first time I hear something about "partial reinforcement effect". Thanks for explaining this in detail. It may sound boring but, the brain activity inside our head really affecting our emotions.

I think you mean "Get rid" of it, not "Get red". The bad thing about those who are setting limits is that not all of them are able to not cross the limit. Most of them are consumed by their greed and that makes them feel frustrated. It makes them think that they can never get rid of their gambling habits as they can't even follow a simple limit in their bet amount.

And one of the reasons why it's hard to quit gambling is that our brain responds to losses more than our wins. We always want to try to win back our losses. Even when we've won $10, when we still have $100 loss, the win means nothing as we're not in the winning side still. We are so eager to win our losses back but we know that we are doomed to lose our money again and so we end up being in this never-ending cycle.

Another thing is thinking that since we've been in a losing streak, then we should win soon. The problem with this is that each bets are different from each other and the losing streak that you've had doesn't affect, in any way, the chances of you winning the next round. This line might ring a bell, "I've lost 7 times already, so this 8th bet HAS TO BE a win." and so we bet more because we think it's about to be a win.

I won't say that it doesn't have any good effect, there are people that if there's nowhere to go and they are in the time of needs. The only thing that they can think of is to gamble and do YOLO.

we know that the most effect of gambling has become addicting in gambling and we should prevent this. besides that, playing gambling can make us get lost the money without any chance to recover so we need to know when to stop the game and leave the places. maybe there are any other effects of gambling that we don't know and we still need to remember to make a limit on gambling games.
