Really? Can you provide the source of this news? If this news is real, I think it's really terrible. There are a lot of ways to keep crypto safe but people still too careless and give hackers chance to hack their cryptocurrency easily . For me, I often keep all important information related to my cryptocurrency in another clear computer.

I have been read this news on some blog crypto webs, but i don't really fully trust this because it comes from some not popular blog's source. In addition, I will not believe that any kind hacker will return such huge money about $17M to the place where it has been stolen.

yups i dont really buy this issue,and this has been released DAY BEFORE THE COINDASH RELEASES THEIR PROJECT sounds like  press release or maybe this is really a inside job,but ofcourse its harder to prove..

1.- The hacker did it for fun, he was a white hat hacker, and for sure he helps to fix the vulnerability.

I think that's the real reason he got the Ethereum back. If nothing threatened him, he'd have kept it all to himself.

I'm not so sure of the truth of this news. It didn't sound a reasonable move for hackers to return such a huge sum of money. There aren't news links to prove the truth of this news.

It is quite shocking and impractical for a hacker to return that big of an amount. There must be a very very very good or life threatening reason for him to do that. I mean, why go through all the troubles of stealing this amount and then just suddenly return it? It just doesn't make sense! Unless this person is already rich and would just like to make a point that it is possible to steal people's money/alts/coins in this system. If this news is true, then he had certainly made his point.

Whether it is true or not , I always wondered how those hacker will manager to cashout one day . The beauty of crypto world even tho it is anonymous it is still can be tracked . $17 Million is a hell lot of money to cashout without raising not only 1 flag but hundreds of flags .

Thanks for sharing the source. As the other users i was thinking this was a fake new because just can't find the source but now looks legit.

This is a weird act. Is hard to find honest people now days and this can mean only two things:

1.- The hacker did it for fun, he was a white hat hacker, and for sure he helps to fix the vulnerability.

2.- The hacker realized there was a problem with his perfect hack, and he decided to give the money back before hit jail.

Any way, he did it and was an honest act. We need more people like him in the world!

Now this is unlikely. If I were this person, why would I, in my right sense, give back what I worked hard for. Yes, I got the money by stealing it. But that’s the point, I’m a crook! I steal stuff! Now why the change of heart, right? I’m pretty sure there is a strong reason behind this gesture and it most probably is "underground."

Yeah, any statement should be backed with proofs. But I'm really surprised that there are many cases when hackers return stolen crypto... I'm glad that there are a lot of kind and honest people but I wonder what drive them to do it?

Hackers really dont returning any hacked informations,it might be an inside job and the people behind the hack were tracked by the coindash so the hacker was forced to sent it back to coindash.Inside job will be morelikely in this case,guiltiness would be the reason why he did really return the hacked ethereums from the coinsdash.

yes this news seems to only emerge from one side, so there are still many who doubt the truth. But we also have to think positively to respond to the news, until later there really is a response from related parties
