I like it so far!!
One feature I would like is QR codes for the addresses like what you get with blockchain's wallet. It makes it easier to transfer money from a mobile device based wallet.
In the meantime I'm going to play around with a the app API this weekend!
Thanks for the suggestion! If you wouldn't mind, please describe the feature request in a GitHub issue: https://github.com/hivewallet/hive-osx/issues?state=openMockups are also helpful! We'll review and, if the solution seems like something user-friendly, we'll work on it with you! Good luck with the API, please let us know if you have any questions!

Looks nice I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread. Will it function with the upcoming OS Mavericks?

To be honest we're not 100% sure, we don't have access to the Mac Developer Program yet. We're building the app on the latest Xcode now (5.0) but against the 10.8 SDK. We'll test it on Mavericks as soon as we can.

Thank you very much. By the way, if you know any great Windows or Linux developers, please let them know that we'd like to make ports to those platforms as well.

We should start to think about a roadmap to get this onto the bitcoin.org choose your wallet page.
What features do you feel you need before that's feasible? Are you upgraded to the latest bitcoinj yet?

Good timing on that question actually, we literally just wrote the MultiBit guys to ask the very same thing. Once we have wallet encryption in place, and a reasonable way to capture and parse the bitcoinj console logs (both of those are in progress right now and should take a few more weeks to complete), we probably have a minimum viable candidate for a bitcoin.org listing. That said, it would behoove us to sign a binary with Apple's Developer ID, too, for user convenience. We will be updating bitcoinj soon, but it hasn't happened just yet.

Right. Some form of auto update is also a must, but I think you already did that.

Indeed, we're using Sparkle, and right now there's an update pushed to it about once per week. Obviously we'll be slowing that down and putting it into stable/bleeding edge channels once things are more stable.
