Not directly from Hive. You should be able to import the wallet into Multibit and export the key from there if you want to do that.

Hello Hive team,

I would like to discuss with you about adding support of BitID into Hive.

BitId is a "connect with Bitcoin" open protocol allowing smooth one click authentication based on a cryptographic challenge. Benefits for the communauty are huge, as it facilitates greatly signups/signins as well as "pay as guest" e-commerce.

A full presentation of BitID is available here :

Hi,

this looks interesting. I've added a ticket to track this: https://github.com/hivewallet/hive-osx/issues/367. I'll look into it later when I have some time (right now I'm busy fixing bugs and adding Payment Protocol support).

Which Hive file contains the Private Key that Multibit can import?

Multibit can import a key from .key, .json and .aes.json

Thanks

Hive wallets, and multi-bit wallets are basically the same, so if you swap them out for each other it will load that wallet.

bitcoinkit.wallet, you open it via "open wallet", not "import".

Perhaps in future, but we don't have any timeline for that yet.

Hi,

just a small update on Payment Protocol support - it's almost ready, just a few small changes and some internal testing, and we should be able to release a 1.3 with that before the end of the month.

The UI is written in ObjC like in almost all Mac apps, the backend mostly in Java (bitcoinj + our code that interacts with it), and the "apps" (Bitstamp etc.) in JavaScript.

That's a pretty good idea. Would you mind adding it as an issue here?

What about adding offline transactions?

Maybe! How do you see it working?

It wouldn't be that useful unless it for phones but, lets say I make a transaction but don't have an Internet connection. It would just wait until you got a good Internet connection and then would send the transaction.

I am wondering what exactly the activation of TimeMachine Backup in Hive does?

I have already a TimeMachine Backup in place that of course includes my users Library Folder (which seems to contain all the important Hive data - is that right???).

What more should be happening by pressing the TimeMachine button in Hive?

Thanks for clarification. I would really like to be sure about all this backup things before storing bigger amounts of BTC in that wallet. Hope, you understand Smiley
