Everything looks good for me in the table you posted It would be great to be able to see the graphs should I create an account in BTCGuild? Is there a team to join? ----- Here is something interesting I found in one of the forums for selecting the pools. 1) Pareto principle solution split: Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_principle20% of pools takes over 80% of whole BTC distribution and taking under consideration the splitting KNC computing power between pools with the same hashrate to have share in 80% of generated bitcoins: - BTC Guild - 50 BTC - Deepbit - Eclipse MC - ASIC Miner - BitMinter - Slush Then we'll have 80% probablity to get share in every block. 2) Normal distribution and standard deviation rule Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normal_distributionhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_SigmaWe should have not fixed hashing power, but it should be calculated daily regarding Moving Average and Standard deviation etc We should have a share only in pools which are covered in 0.5 STD Deviation from average distribution to maximize incoming bitcoicoins, taking under consideration probabilty and BTC Value https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8x7IPjfIwAbUmpkRERSaTE0Z1U/edit?usp=sharingSo to maximize incoming bitcoins we should have share on those 3 pools - Deepbit - EclipseMC - ASIC Miner ===== This is very academic approach and could be little bit different from the real, but it's very good base to start researchers to maximize incoiming coins.

If so is there some type of application that will auto switch pools?

I have been very loyal to bit minter but the idea of using 2 or 3 or 4 pools does appeal to me.

The problem, of course, is that spreading your hash rate across z number of pools means that you might share in 80% of the blocks that are hit, but you'll only get 1/z the reward from each of the pools because you are only sending 1/z shares to each pool.
And, you end up with the same amount that you would have had if you had mined consistently in one pool - which ends up paying you z times as much reward for each block hit but only finds 1/z of the blocks that are found. I've tested this extensively for many months now, and almost all of the pools pay out almost identical amounts over a long period of time (meaning weeks) - within expected variance.
Think about it - any pool that paid significantly less would lose users as people notice and move to different pools, which results in the pool finding fewer blocks and finding them more infrequently, which means that more users leave, lather, rinse, and repeat until the pool has no miners left, doesn't make enough to cover expenses, and goes away.
EDIT: We've gotten two .25 BTC payouts from BTCGuild so far, one from GB5 and one from GB6, and should have some name coins being paid out shortly... Yay!!!

Are we converting the NMC to BTC or paying that out separately? (Which sounds a bit like an excessive amount of work.)

Are we converting the NMC to BTC or paying that out separately? (Which sounds a bit like an excessive amount of work.) I'll convert it over to BTC every once in a while and distribute it with a bi-monthly payout. Might take a while to accumulate enough to make it worth doing... Right now I'm sending all the group buy NMC to my namecoin wallet, which probably already has 50 or 60 namecoins sitting in it, so we get kind of a running jumpstart there when it comes time to cash them out and distribute the proceeds.... EDIT: and we grabbed our first two namecoins from BTC Guild mining. Here's a screen grab from the GB6 account... -R-

Yay! And thank you for your work again! But it all averages out - I find BTCG, 50BTC, Slush, EMC, Eligius, GigaVPS, BitMinter, OzCoin and even HHTT all pay out roughly the same over a long period of time if you mine on them consistently. I've spent many, many months of sending the same amount of hashrate to multiple pools and comparing the payouts over longer periods of time - weeks at a time - including the little bit extra you get for merged mining on some pools, and they're all virtually identical, payout wise, long term.
Ok, you said it all there. So from my part I am fine with BTCGuild. So. We are doing merged mining now? That is great. If its too much of a hassle, maybe someone trusted is willing to help? I would do it...

DZ - could you put this up on the OP, please ??
Group Buy 5 payout sheet. Please check your info ESPECIALLY your payout wallet ID. If you haven't given me specific permission to show your Forum ID, just the first letter is shown. This is in a fixed font, so there should not be two addresses that are shorter than the others...

Jupiter down for some quick maintenance - case fan. I have to get it buttoned back up so I have somewhere for my Bitfuries to be....
We're back hashing - it isn't a problem with the connector or how it has to be forced on, the fan just plain doesn't work - didn't have a meter at hand, so I couldn't tell if there's juice on the connector. I'll leave this to bobsag3 to deal with once it gets down in hosting, I just don't have the room to leave it running with the case off to diagnose - it means I have to shut down several hundred Gh/s worth of bitfuries - and they haven't been hashing since the Jupiter got here...
