What are some of your biggest bitcoin regrets, and what were you thinking back then? Besides "not getting in sooner" Obligatory: BFL EDIT: Bitcoin "mistakes" go here =)Speaking of butterfly labs.... Oh memories... Even before bfl I wanted to mine but I didn't because I never trusted these places selling miners. I was right to since bfl never came through like I had a feeling they would. This was a bit before they had their monarch miners. I was wrong to have lost interest in bitcoin though. I should not have Noe looking back.

What are some of your biggest bitcoin regrets, and what were you thinking back then? Besides "not getting in sooner" Exactly! This is the one on top and the biggest regret I'd say. After that, investing in hashocean and losing all those $$$ Another one could be not joining bitcointalk sooner.

My biggest one aside from the obvious one of "not getting in sooner" is the fact that I Dont have any special skill, I can't code, can't do graphics neither do I have the fund to establish a service site because if I can I would have made more Bitcoin faster at the same time richer faster than the pace I am moving now.

I have also been hit by a scam sites, they use the term "cloud mining" to deceive us. More than 3 BTC my bitcoin lost. And today the price reach $1.100, is certainly getting a lot of regrets because a few months ago I sell bitcoin with prices in the range of $700, and also send to wrong address (scam sites).

I don't really think that you are losing that much Bitcoin from transaction fees unless you are using a huge amount of Bitcoin for fees. I also lost quite a bit of money from dice and gambling. Definitely not a good feeling.

The biggest regret for me when it comes to bitcoin is not using it early when I had the chance, you see I knew about bitcoin since it was created and was interested in knowing it more and more but when I wanted to earn some bitcoin, the only thing that I found was faucets which don’t really pay that well so I gave up and look at it now.

Just cause I didn't start earlier, other then that that saving, I think I mentioned that in some similar topic. Two days ago I trusted someone and lost 70 mbtc, escrow must from now, it had to happen to learn it. I don't regret too much, I know its my fault, I learned valuable lesson, never trust no one, and once more use escrow always, don't even think about avoiding that.

Sending 1 BTC to a wrong address (old instawallet address that I didn't saved the url...)
Ouch! that is totally badly hurt pal, at least you moved on already. But that's not a joke amount, isn't? For me so far since I got in this industry I never encounter any such things that I did regrettable that related into bitcoin, so I'm thankful into it.

Escrow is really a must these days. Anyone can be a scammer these days. Because of these generation's technology it is easy for anyone to steal someone identity and use it for their bad motives. The way they negotiate will make youu fall into them and make you to send what they want first. And once they got what they want they will just disappear instantly without anything happen. So escrow is the best thing to do for transactions you don't know. Both the seller and the buyer is protected by the escrow.

Honestly, how can you regret something that you couldn't do anything about? It doesn't make sense at all. It's not like you have made a mistake such as gambling away your coins, or by mistake delete one of your wallet files containing a certain amount of coins, or selling your coins at a very low price as an early adopter. That's when regret kicks in and you rethink what you did wrong. But not in this case.

I have already place my regrets in this topic a few weeks back but I will share another regret that occurred to me just recently. It was during the fast and instant drop of bitcoins price. When bitcoin was still at 1000$ plus each, I hesitated to sell it and convert it to dollars and so I left my pc to go to the bathroom but when I came back bitcoin has dropped already to 800$ each. I panicked and sell my btc in exchange for dollars then suddenly bitcoin rose to 960$. If I just stay calm and did not panicked I did not lost a significant amount of profit and so another lesson learned.

Gambling away 0.7 btc about a year ago. would have 700$ by now I guess that's the price I had to pay to realize gambling is stupid and I haven't done any gambling ever since and probably never will again.
