My biggest regret is putting all my money in bitcoin and risking it all on a gambling site (sports betting site). That is my biggest regret and in that time i'm very frustrated because i lost my money in just a few hours of waiting and hoping in getting a profit and after that i don't rely or even trust gambling sites to give profit because it is very risky for us and also for people who are greedy and always want an easy money.

I regret most that I lose almost 5 bitcoins fairly fast in a week time. I should have kept it and I should have few money right now with that amount of bitcoins

My recent one is when I sold it just 20 days back.I thought price would fall as I was getting better profit at that time but now I am sad that I sold them.
Anyway I made a good profit but learnt my lesson

Biggest regrets? That i was told by a friend but not listening to them about this bitcoin.  I am very thankful that they guide me and even assist me on this bitcoin even mentoring me.I am very grateful to them I know this stuff.

Lol. I was very sad because many bitcoin sell at the price of $ 850 as panic selling occurs. it made me even more sad because the current prices rose to $ 1,200. I wanted to turn back the clock and be patient not to sell my bitcoin

its true story bro and i am with you, i don't have more money to buy bitcoin in last year and what i am doing is only playing faucet, search for free give away in out there, trading altcoin in an exchange, until i can collect bitcoin one by one with hardest thing in my life. but i think its not to be late to join in bitcoin party like this day because what i am collecting is getting high price as i earning bitcoin for free by the first time i knew bitcoin.

We have the same regret man , Ive stop using bitcoin for a year and a half and I lost the chance of buying and earning bitcoin before when its price is too low.
But thats qeong in your side that you are investing on scam sites unless you didnt know how to recognize a scam site before.

saw some regret here, I remember a time when I lost a couple of BTC in the wallet that I have. I lost some of the bitcoin just because one of the writing address wallet. I submit to the wallet that has long been forgotten. Well, maybe at that moment, I was in a hurry in sending bitcoin.

You can still make a lot of profit from bitcoin because it is still young and there still a lot of opportunities to grab in terms of earning with bitcoin. You just need to be patient in studying different kind of those because it takes a lot of time and knowledge to be able to be successful in something worth it.

I have a good one. I mined 500,000 Quarkcoins over a period of a few months, back when it was  new and CPU only. The value plummeted, not unexpected due to the weird distribution scheme (block reward 2048 in the beginning, now 2).

After a few months of being around 40 satoshis the coin suddenly went up to ~300. I sold all, happy about the easy money. Two days later the price was at 25,000 satoshis, I could have made 175 BTC if I just had waited a bit. Never seen a pump like that again.

I think my biggest bitcoin regret is that I never participated in Bitcoin economy as soon as I know of it.  It takes another year before I actively participate in its economy and another six months before I learned trading and start trading Bitcoin.  I would have earned a lot more if I manage give attention to Bitcoin as early as possible.

That is one of the common biggest regret of a bitcoin user "Learning bitcoin as soon as they know it" but we can't do anything we that but just to accept the fact that we cannot change the past because it is already happen. Now, we can still earn a lot of money by putting more attention in bitcoin and studying a lot more ways in making profits using bitcoin. Always think positive .

Some of the stories here made me actually put my head in my hands. Brilliant stuff.

Mine is nothing compared to some of you guys as I'm a BTC newbie.

But about 8 months ago, the first weekend I actually owned some BTC after buying it with hard cash, I went on a BTC gambling site with 0.03 BTC.

At the time 1 BTC was around $550 I think.

I was following some youtube video that claimed to have a "system" for satoshi dice. I had no idea what Satoshi dice was, I just followed the video and within about 10 minutes my account was up to 1.1 BTC. I thought it was great, free money! Couldn't believe how easy it was! Then in about 15 seconds flat I lost the lot. Still haunts me to this day. What an idiot...

Hopefully that will always be my "worst" story about BTC

My biggest regrets about bitcoin is exposed a scam hashocean about 5 btc one year ago, I bought about 10 btc in 2015 with a price of $220. then I invested into cloud mining that are currently popular and I select hashocean amd invest 8 btc, after 50 days of scam and return around 3 btc.

Sixth thread in a list of results obtained by searching for "mistakes".

My biggest mistake is letting things like redundant threads bother me.

But the good thing is humans are so full of regrets that we can list a new one in each thread. With enough threads we'll get to them all eventually.

I must be too careful (everyone must be insane, because looking back I've been anything but careful). I have maybe two or three regrets that sneak up on me in REM sleep. There is too much shit to do to be worrying about the past.

But we have to look back. It improves our future. Would anyone today put all their btc in an online wallet that could be hacked or stolen by the operator? Oh yeah, they're still doing it.... never mind.

Probably the main and one of my biggest bitcoin regrets is I used the bad way of earning bitcoin. I earn bitcoin by gambling and sometimes scamming. At first, it was good bacause it gives you a lot of income but later on in gambling all of my earnings fly away and nothing has left and I don't know how to gain my profit back. All of my bitcoins are vanished and I don't have a capital to start over and earn again bitcoins. Later on, I hear about the bitcointalk and I've tried it, earn ranked and join some Signature Campaigns. And start a new bitcoin account where I used a good way of earning it.
