Bitcoin will never be centralized. What can government control is that the people of their country who use it. Since bitcoin is a threat to government because of its privacy feature and non-traceable transaction, they would either ban it or accept it but with certain conditions that of course would definitely themselves.

Bitcoin is not the most anonymous crypto currency. Transactions can be tracked, and special services already do it, but for example Monero can not be tracked. I'm not sure that it is possible to centralize the coin completely.

The technology behind bitcoin does not allow it to be centralized and saying bitcoin should be centralized is a mission impossible, the uniqueness of cryptocurrencies is it decentralization and not control by any body.

True, Bitcoin cannot be controlled by anyone including Government across the country. That should be controlled precisely its users. If the user is using Bitcoin in a positive way it does not matter. But surely many Bitcoin users are using Bitcoin in the negative. This is what to watch out for.

I think starting from this day onwards, let's bear in mind that the concept of bitcoin is freedom amongst people who want to trade, invest and keep money without government's intervention. This three aspects is one of the many reasons with bitcoin cannot be centralized. Also, the fact that it is spread all over the world which means all national government, federal states and even monarchies should cope with it but off all the problems a nation has? I think it will be hard. What a government can do perhaps is to control the people using it but not the bitcoin currency itself.

Nope. Decentralisation is built into bitcoin. It either fails or succeeds as a decentralised entity

I think bitcoin will always be decentralized and this is a bitcoin advantage over real currency. Decentralization provides security that can only be managed by users.

Never! Bitcoin depends on the innovation called Blockchain which depends on the standard of decentralization so regardless, Bitcoin won't be concentrated as it will murder the center reason for it. There is a hypothetical plausibility of 51% assault however once more, it will require high measure of assets and cash to endeavor such assault and Bitcoin will tumble to 0 not long after such assault so it would resemble a suicide for anybody alongside the system so for all intents and purposes it isn't conceivable

it could have many possibilities for bitcoin to be centralized but I don't think so because it will change point of view from the bitcoin since the first time created. I think satoshi created bitcoin to solve the decentralized of the money that is in the government and control by them but if bitcoin is finally centralized then I think many people will not agree and everything will change. I think let we see what will go on in the future and we will find the answer soon. but I see now there is a government that accepting bitcoin as a new investment and it is good for the people because they can invest their money to make a profit in the future.

actually they can track the owner of the bitcoin address if the exchange in btc-fiat require KYC.
it is simple. the government just need to track it from the exchange, and they will find the owner.

Definitely it's a NO, if I'm not mistaken bitcoin form  in many purposes. At first,  it is actually form to be decentralize therefore no one can manipulate it. Secondly, it is form with the intension to have a financial freedom for everyone. Lastly, it also form for the purpose to serve and help all individuals to have an opportunity in escaping for the poor way of living.  Therefore I do believe that it won't be centralized and if there is possibility that it will happen I think the system of bitcoin will end..

Hi,

I think that if bitcoin ever get centralized... well, it will no longer be bitcoin. The idea behind crypto, far more than mere trading, is to allow people to simply exchange things and services anywhere.

If a government has power over bitcoin or if it becomes controlled by any authority, it is no longer a crypto. No longer what it was created for.

The only thing that every Government can do to track bitcoin users transaction is to banned it in their country. After banning, they are issuing a rules and regulation, they cannot actually centralized bitcoin, because it is around the world, it is the worlds digital currency. At least they can regulate it to stop criminality and other illegal activity in their country.

Maybe some time in the near future, the centralization of bitcoins would be the only thing for it's survival and i am sure that the developers at that time would make it centralized.

Bitcoin is Bitcoin because it is decentralized, open, cross border, neutral, sensorship resistant, open for innovation by anyone etc. The idea behind crypto, far more than mere trading, is to allow people to simply exchange things and services anywhere.

I consider bitcoin to be centralized is not possible. Since the program simply does not provide for this. By making bitcoin centralized, the contradictions of the whole crypto-currency sphere will turn out. I understand the position of the government. However, it is not possible to introduce control over bitcoin in order to track transactions.

I think in the future things will change in a positive way. The Crypto market will last long and SEC will protect investors.
I always hope this market is protected by the SEC because now there are too many fraudulent projects. Investors need to be safe to focus on investing.

Bitcoin is a non-governmental currency that is very assimilated itself, no body can control it under its domination even not the government.

No bitcoin is still decentralized even if government will going to take over unless if they will going to change and modify the system. But I bet that the developer for bitcoin will not allow it to happen because when we say centralization we have already had a centralized currency and that is our fiat money.
