it depends how your investment strategy, if you want to make short term investments or trading then altcoin is very good. the reason is that altcoin rises faster than bitcoin.

I fully agree with you about the bitcoin, but there are altcols that should be kept for long-term prospects, and I would allocate ETH, which will always come in handy in our wallet.

because in cryptoword each and every coin has it's own specialty. for different coins has different price. one will get lose means another altcoin price is increased more it is not constant so there is possibilities to get more profit. so all are prefer to trade with altcoin itself.

The risk in altcoin is bigger. The swing of it price is to dangerous. If you just buy coin only depend on price then its just the same as gambling but if you buy altcoins with good reason like its fundamental aspects, then it safer to trade those altcoin is good for you because the coin only has small chance to die.

Considering that you have been in crypto, you must have to take the risk otherwise you may just throw your money in the air. The trend of market today are very vulnerable for changes any time, we can't certainly predict a good price to arrived that's why we should have to take a look our coins market value every time to see if we are gaining or losing.

To be a good trader, you have to use different alts not only Bitcoin to garantee success.
Besides alts are very volatile and thus you can make more in shorter time.
Also, Bitcoin is not supported by all exchanges especially decentralized exchanges and those using contracts like ED, Idex, forkdelta...
