it depends how your investment strategy, if you want to make short term investments or trading then altcoin is very good. the reason is that altcoin rises faster than bitcoin.
but if you want to make long-term investments, then there is no option other than Bitcoin and Ethereum.

I fully agree with you about the bitcoin, but there are altcols that should be kept for long-term prospects, and I would allocate ETH, which will always come in handy in our wallet. |

One of the best way to earn money is trading, trading to the altcoin also this is because there are certain coins that are successfula and have future. There is a time when bitcoin is pumping the altcoin is opposite result. The price of bitcoin is not good to the trader now, instead of bitcoin there are another coins which give to trader a better profit, and it is proven. Like what I encounter last time for my pillar from .000017 btc per token ( when it is starting ) and now 0.00005 up, think the big difference. Choosing altcoin is one way to catch a big fish. |

alternative coins are good for day trading or short term investment which can be done even with a minimal capital but can gain a big profit if your lucky enough in a certain project, while bitcoin is good for long term investment and payment transactions. |

Because bitcoin is relatively stable relative to altcoins. They chose altcoins in order to gain more revenue in a short period of time, but there was a greater risk of investing in altcoins, which I didn't want to do. |

In this rate of bitcoin, the value is too high... it will require you to have a bag of bitcoins or at least 1-5 BTC to have a good profit unlike in altcoins you only need at least 500bucks and enjoy earning.. |

Bitcoin is known as a good long term investment. So, many people are holding that coins as compared to altcoins. Although you can hold any altcoins as you want but you need to consider the risk. If you find them that has no potential to grow then trade them right away before it fall down. |

because in cryptoword each and every coin has it's own specialty. for different coins has different price. one will get lose means another altcoin price is increased more it is not constant so there is possibilities to get more profit. so all are prefer to trade with altcoin itself.

Trading altcoins now is like jumping the plane without parachute. While Bitcoin is fighting against whale dumpers, its not advisable to trade alts. Everytime Bitcoin dumps, alts dumps too. During this period, people are advised to stay calm and HODL their BTC. Or take a risk of hedging your money into fix USDT. Why alt coins are good for trade ? why not bitcoin ?

The risk in altcoin is bigger. The swing of it price is to dangerous. If you just buy coin only depend on price then its just the same as gambling but if you buy altcoins with good reason like its fundamental aspects, then it safer to trade those altcoin is good for you because the coin only has small chance to die. Considering that you have been in crypto, you must have to take the risk otherwise you may just throw your money in the air. The trend of market today are very vulnerable for changes any time, we can't certainly predict a good price to arrived that's why we should have to take a look our coins market value every time to see if we are gaining or losing. |

To be a good trader, you have to use different alts not only Bitcoin to garantee success.
Besides alts are very volatile and thus you can make more in shorter time.
Also, Bitcoin is not supported by all exchanges especially decentralized exchanges and those using contracts like ED, Idex, forkdelta...
