I've run through 8 and have 8 more shipping. Only one had 'x's on high and then only 2 boards with 1/2. Still got 35gh/s on it. All the others ran at 38.4xxgh/s non-stop 24/7. I'm using corsair TX850's to power 2 at a time. I think we are dealing with some very cold weather and rough shipping.

12/28/13 Cubes have not arrived for all preorders placed. I am issuing refunds to all that preordered and request one via pm. Please state your tx id, amount paid, cubes ordered, and a refund address(preferably the one you sent payment from). Refunds will be processed in 96 hours or less from time received. I have not received tracking numbers/shipping information from AsicMiner as to when the cubes are to be delivered. This is why I hate preorders. Last preorder shipped on time. This one was a complete disaster. If you wish to remain on preorder list, do nothing and I will ship as soon as I get them. A refund is always an option until I ship your preorder. As to current cubes already shipped, I have not received any warranty units to date. I have shipped numerous individual mini blades, bottom main boards, and entire cubes at my expense. I have no more inventory in hand to ship replacement parts. Hopefully next week, I shall receive my prepaid cube orders to be able to swap out parts and or cubes. If you are having problems with your cubes, please pm me and I will try to work something out. Any new orders of cubes(once they are in stock) will be 0.79 btc each due to cost of swapping parts and time involved in dealing with problems.ANY FUTURE ORDERS OF CUBES I CAN ONLY GUARANTEE THEY WORK IN NON OVERCLOCKED MODE AT A MINIMUM OF 30 GH/S.

First off I got my 3 hubs today thank you. You have been a very good seller to me no complaints and the 4 cubes I purchased all work I sold all 4 and mad a few bucks. Posted a trust for the hubs. My thoughts all 4 cubes failed to work on 3 different hi end seasonic psu's . I happen to know that many corsair psu's are clones built by seasonic and that they are exactly the same. So I would tell very one to not use Seasonic Platinum psu. or sea sonic gold and the corsair that are rebranded versions . btw this is about 12 models of psu. I had a cheaper model work fine from fsp it was an 800 watt model. It allowed all 4 cubes to work. I also had a problem with fans I put in a noctua hind 25 dollar fan and all 4 units buzzed when powered done. I switch to 10 dollar silverstones and the power issues stopped. so these units are tricky. If you have a good one please give us the make and model of your PSU. the fan below moves enough air for low clocking and is quieter http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835220050this psu was good http://www.hardwareheaven.com/reviews/833/pg1/fsp-everest-80plus-800w-psu-introduction.html

Can run 3 cubes on high (and small CPU) at once. It is 80 plus gold rated (energy efficient) and I have seen them on Ebay for about $110. Comes with nice modular connectors. Whisper quite and runs cool. I have two of them. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152044

I have 3 cubes, one is acting up (all X's) but I have been doing a lot of fiddling with power supplies and good power is absolutely required.
I have one cube running on a generic ~600 W ATX supply, with a single PCI-E harness. At first, it went through a splitter, which lasted a couple of days until it melted. Then, I soldered the splitter ends directly to the ATX supply, which now runs great, nice and cool.
Cube #2 is wired to a 1000 W HP server supply that also powers four ASICMiner Blades. It's been working flawlessly.
Cube #3 is wired solo to a new 850W Corsair RM850. This turned out to be the weirdest of the bunch. The RM850 has two independent PCI-E harnesses, which each have a pair of PCI-E connectors daisy-chained. But there is apparently a defect in this power supply because the Cube won't work on one of the harnesses, even though the power supply works under other test loads. It works 100% using the "good" PCI-E harness, daisy-chained to both Cube PCI-E power ports, but won't work when plugged into both harnesses. There is no noticeable heating of the PCI-E cables when the Cube is powered by a single harness with the Corsair, and noticeable but modest heat using the generic ATX supply.
One of my Cubes has intermittent ASIC failures and start-up problems, but that does not seem to be power-related. Believe me, I've tried everything. SSB is working with me to get that issue resolved.
All my Cubes are set for overclocking, and (once you have 100% good power) that does not appear to be related to any problems. I also have a supplemental 200 mm fan exhausting air out the front of each cube, just to be safe.
These are some fussy miners, but many of the problems can be tracked to system power supply issues. I'm glad that I happen to have had enough different scenarios to test out in order to help diagnose and troubleshoot what does and doesn't work.

One in overclocked mode. One in low regular mode. I have yet to troubleshoot the one that runs in low clock mode to verify whether it's the blades, motherboards, or the PSU. It's giving me partial xxx's.

12/31/13 If anyone from AsicMiner reads this thread, please contact me about where my multiple orders of cubes are or when they will ship. The update is that I have placed multiple orders for cubes over the last 1 1/2 to 3 weeks and am waiting for delivery of them and/or tracking numbers. I have issued some refunds and am waiting on inventory to fulfill orders and/or warranty replacements. I have a few hubs for sale and a few backplanes if anyone is interested. SSB

What is the max wattage or amperage per 12v lead on that PSU? Are you using two PCI-E leads or molex to PCI-E adapters? Have you done the standard troubleshooting steps? SSB is quite an honest guy so if you think the cube arrived broken send him a PM.

There is no spec for the "max wattage" per 12V lead. If you can feel any noticeable heating of your 12V leads, you are already on the edge. No assurance that a good brand PS guarantees anything. My new 850W Corsair has been my least reliable. If you're building a world-class datacenter, you can do a statistical analysis, but for a desk-full of hardware, it's a mistake to draw conclusions from so few datapoints. Generic PCI-E splitters are light gauge and will overheat and/or fail. Most ATX PCI-E leads are longer than necessary, so if you can scrounge up the extra connectors (from other donor power supplies), you will get better performance if you shorten the leads to the minimum, and soldering together a pair of PCI-E cables for each Cube. Or, cut up a useless PCI-E splitter and solder that directly to the ATX supply PCI-E leads, making the splitter leads as short as possible (i.e. 3-5 cm) I got 1 cube as well from Canada . This is bad product. Clicking from time to time. Random resets, with clicking constantly noise, and second red light blinking. Dang, any news from your supplier? This is now a week late, which is ouchy in coin-land. I know you're trying, just was hoping for an update. At some point it's going to have to look like a refund is a better option, but I'd prefer not to have to do that to you. Argh.
