It is worth seeing the price on the market, so ICO . Where it will be more profitable there and buy . Prices can be very different from each other .
It's much better to purchase coins that were on an exchange because there is a lot of instances where there were coins worth a lower price when it gets launched.

I think ICO is more like a gamble, because people always expect that there will be big changes after the appearance of token money in the exchange, however, the current market situation is not good, so I don't think it is a good time to invest in ICO.

The main investment problem at the ico stage is scam. When trading in the market, these risks are minimized, but the level of income also falls. When you enter the project at the ico stage, you have the opportunity to receive a bonus and be sure that the tokens will exactly grow in price when the project is released to the exchange.

Still, the price on the exchange is cheaper, while you do not risk the fact that the project can be scams .

If the project is really good and collected on the ICO Hard Cap in a few hours, then the coins of such a project after entering the exchange will not exactly cost cheap and at best they will be purchased at a price several times higher than they were on the ICO. Therefore, there must be a selective approach.

Personally, I prefer to buy already on the exchange because many coins do not reach the exchanges and if they reach then traded on illiquid exchanges without a large turnover, and so the coin is quickly drained
Yes , im agree with you . because many coins do not reach the exchange
But there is too much ico with high profit, can give 2 -50 x profit . But you must be carefull to buy ico , too much scam project you can read whitepaper, team , roadmap. Personally, i prefer to buy ico , im already had experience, with 50$ i got 600 $ on ico . its more profitable , and i can't do trading so i choose ico .

ICO means you must spend money to invest in a start-up project. It means you are putting your funds to the growth of that start-up project. You can earn many profits through ICO because you can buy a lot of tokens at cheap price instead of buy on the exchanges with high price if that project get success.

I do not think both are problematic, the most important thing is at the time of sale, you must pay attention to the situation and be in the right situation.

There will be a big risk if you buy in the ICO because you will never know if the value will have a bull in the future. I think you need to know more information about the ICO you want to invest with like platforms, whitepaper and teams behind that ICO. For me, it is better to buy if the coin is already in the market because you will know the the volume and the future of this coin.

That actually depends on how good the project in question turbs out to be at the end of ico, there were time when ico use to give x5 and above but recent ico rarely trade at ico price not to talk of giving profit.

I noticed that many investors were afraid to buy during ICO because their reason they are cheaper can be bought on market. Especially when they found out that a large percentage is allotted in the bounty program. Many Bounty Hunters immediately selling token/coin even lower than the ICO price.
People try to buy the coins during ICO due to bonuses they get and hoping for the coin to by hyped after ICO. If the coin has already dumped it means that it is not popular among investors, so why should one buy it? The only reason may be short-time speculation, but this may be risky.

Yeah probably there are so many bounty hunters that sels their token rewards immediately. It will make the price of the tokens more dumped. If you want to support some ico you should take the ico investment to get the price higher. Buying in market is good and just wait to see the price in the next moment.

its better to buy during ICOs as the coins are certainly cheaper compared to when they enter exchanges. this is not always the case though. Scam ICOs have further killed peoples trust in buying during ICOs. Niw most investors prefer watching the coin after it has entered the exchange before making that decision.

Those programs who are offering airdrops are those who are gonna be below ICO price as soon as it reaches the market, but that is normal and it usually happens, so there is no need to be scared.

In today's market it is better not to buy during ico, as many projects are traded below ico prices, for example Atonomi or Gonetwork.

Well my response will be in two folds.
Have seen a project token that was sold at 1$ ICO prize and when this token get listed on exchange, it get dumped even far below the ICO price. So those that bought during the ICO are already in great loss and terrible regret, that had they know, they would have buy when it hit the exchange.
On the other hand, have seen a token was sold at 0.7$ICO price and when this token begins its sale on it's own internal exchange, it was a bomb. Within a short while it has skyrocketed and no one could be able to buy it again unless those that are financially buoyant enough are those that could afford to buy with the price then. So to those that didn't buy during the ICO are in great regrets as well that had they know they would have buy some units during the ICO because when the trading kick starts, they couldn't afford it again.

Now it is better to buy a coin on exchangers of course, almost all coins are falling in price. It's all because of the unstable bitcoin.

ICO obviously because they are cheaper or just wait for a crash. It depends on the potential of a project. If it has a successful ICO, has the good review by the community I think you cannot buy their tokens with a cheaper price on exchange site. Bounty hunters are smart guys, they can realize this they invest earlier and get the ICO on board. By research and study you can also predict that, I think Liven and Treon are my top picks as both are listing in late 2018 when the crash will be gone.

It is safe to buy in the market after the ICO when all Tokens are dumped. I however choose to participate in ICOs and sell all immediately when coin launches on the exchange then set a buy target to buy extra more coins at a lower dip which will help me recoup some of my losses in case the coin has dipped below its ICO price.
