I think mining still worth and profitable. Because until to day i always get the coins.
But if your asking about get a lot coins, i think not worth. Because my hashrate not to much as others, so i just get small coins. But the way i still enjoying to mining and the result can be trade at market exchange.
Because of that, i can tell you mining still worth. Not how much we can get but what can we do for the coins. Smiley

But if you compared then your electricity costs and investment on hardware you can realize - it'is not. It is just for fun.

In my opinion mining altcoins is not worth it because you need a lot of stuff like computers and strong internet signal. Some country might face a weak internet signal so its difficult to mine in that state like me.
And you consume a large amount of electricities. thats why i think its  not wised!.

Seems like the last page has been full of newbie accounts trying to up their post count with simulated comments.

In any case, i believe that mining is still worth it because it is simply still profitable. However, i believe it won't stay the same for long.
The reality is that this is coming:

1. Z9 ASIC - zec killer
2. E3 ASIC - eth killer
3. new GPU series from NVIDIA
4. ETH goes from POW to POS
5. difficulty of profitable coins increasing daily

I am mining with Nvidias and they perform better at Zcash, now I am seeing the sad news of a Z9 coming up and being available on end of June. I think after that miner hits the market zcash needs to show us a zcash classic which can be mined only by graphic cards just like the cryptonight guys did.

I am praying for such happening.

All depends on your expectations and when your GPUs were bought. 6 1080 Tis still mine over $10 a day, that is plenty profitable to me. However, all of my 1080 Tis were bought last year for below $750 each and 1070s for $334 or less. They paid them over several times already, anything they make at this point is easy free money. To me, mining is worth it.

At the moment: I'd say no.
However it may be profitable again as soon as the market recovers.

Yep it's just simple. But bunch of trolls could not see it.

Actually now doesnot matter how many money have you paid for your rig. You will never recoup it. Just use calculator. But if you electricity is cheap or even free - you can buy some perks after paying electricity bills.

I have a mining rig running by myself. And i can just tell everybody, the most coins are not profitable when you have no free electricity. And the only way you can do it, is to mine a coin which you think it has potential to grow in future. So when you are lucky andhit the right coin you can make good profit.

it depend on your electricity rate, up to 0.2 is still profitable, even at 0.3 cent there is still tiny profit, with 0.1 cent you have a good return with a big farm, if you are casual don't mother too much, you can make more with real life job

bullllshiiiit.  I pay 10 cents Kw/H.  Electricity cost is about 10% of my earnings per day.

From the beginning I do not believe in mining. I want to use this median ask that has any body really make money from mining. If yes how much can someone really make  in a month from mining. How does mining really works.

Maybe you should instead ask "how does google search work?"

Your questions are basic and can easily be answered if you tried to do your own research first before asking basic questions. Mining is still profitable, it may not be the case for much longer. If you want to know why then do your own research.

Even if you are mining and selling immediately each week / month you will make profit. Enough to make it worth it? Probably not. The added electric is $50-$60 a month. And immediately selling coins would be like $300 for the month. So $240 profit a month.

But you can do better things such as mining the most profitable coin and selling then trading right away. Make more gains.

Or mining a coin you are going to hold for a bit. BCI right now the coin. Been mining and holding.

Based on what?  Nvidia cards?  Amd?  7 of them?  20 of them? 50 of them?  Electric $50-$60 a month?  How do you know what the cost of power is in any given city?  Again, how many cards and what type determines power usage.  What if coin prices go up...then so does profit. Same with down.   So your answer(s) is so arbritary it isnt even funny.

If electricity is a problem you can build a mining computer with 12 Gtx 1050 ti cards or 8 Gtx 1060 cards. The 1060 can be under volt in power up to consume only 60-70 watt of power while the 1050 ti consumes 65 watt in 100% of the power consumption.

They are still profitable to mine even if electricity is 10 cents/kilowatt.

I was saying in my case you idiot.

Obviously its different all over, and completely depends on cards.

Since it is difficult to grasp items at scale, we will take it down -

1 * 1070ti.
550 sols
160w

You will make a profit here. Not much, but a profit.

Also depends on how you mine. If you mine a coin at $2 and wait until its $20 to sell, you made 10x more than the guy that sold that same coin for $2.

There are many people that don't have any mining gear so just talk nonsense. People that have gear are still running them and making profit. How much depends on many things.
