I just wanted to mine a little so I could say I had some shitcoins, like a novelty item. Then I can ask people "do you accept shitcoins?" when I want to pay for something. But its broken so I couldn't even mine any. I guess I'll go try sexcoins instead.

Stuck at block 122872, which was generated 15 hours ago. Did shitcoin get flushed? Or someone hit it with a toilet brush and forked it?
I am getting { "blocks" : 122872, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.36071664, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 299375109, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false } and have been for a couple of hours. I tried to solo mine but every block found was rejected. I have dropped from 4 connections to 3 in the past few hours on a node that is well connected and not firewalled.

Every block I was doing was rejected, then I figured it out, and maybe you did the same stupid thing. Shitcoin is SHA256, not scrypt. Ooops!

I discovered with the difficulty so low I can even let shitcoind mine successfully. Interestingly, when I started this afternoon I was seeing
{ "account" : "", "category" : "generate", "amount" : 3000000.00000000, "confirmations" : 2001, "generated" : true, "blockhash" : "00000468c45da88852ff015b1e0a684e0e5839ad327f42b69b2f40b5ab172e30", "blockindex" : 0, "blocktime" : 1383690364, "txid" : "badedef125a46f4c5472622b0753932cd051ae8645823689ae24fbef1ed72022", "time" : 1383690364, "timereceived" : 1383690364, "tx-comment" : "" }
but now I am seeing
{ "account" : "", "category" : "immature", "amount" : 500000000.00000000, "confirmations" : 1, "generated" : true, "blockhash" : "0000020401605e8a6edb95f15816cbadf4ffcc4c9ff8f3528f8de6da2becfe4e", "blockindex" : 0, "blocktime" : 1383705620, "txid" : "3bd282e8fb6e5a28ae2f2d1aa402d307897e16842acc3364b1e50af66636bbb6", "time" : 1383705620, "timereceived" : 1383705620, "tx-comment" : "" }
Maybe my eyes are bad at counting all those zero's, but it looks like it went from 3 million to 500 million coins per block some time today. I am starting to drown in poop.

I think that's r3, rewarding all those loyal to SHIT by upping the block reward back up to 500 million for a while.
As if there wasn't enough shit all over the place.
We did talk about doing that at some point and he may have gone ahead with it now.

So no, I am not nor have I ever been a Mensa member. But I agree there's way too many geniuses trolling about. lol.

Was that intentional? If so, it is dangerous since the behavior of shift operators in C is implementation dependent when the shift value is larger than the word size if you believe http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1024968/64bit-shift-problem

LoL on a serious note, i just learned something. i appreciate your post. now i understand why some of my php loops have bizzare behavior(side note, i really should brush up on algebra). i'm using the wrong loop structure in combination with while loops. doh. as to your post, it was completely unintentional. i have no schooling in programming, but i have enrolled in courses and begin in january. thanks for teaching me something new and maybe someday i'll actually understand why.
