If you can consider walking from my pc to bed after losing all, I had one.. Once, I started betting with 200$ and won the Jackpot, it was well over 2500$.. then I continued betting on the same jackpot till I was about RIP and then won almost at the end, which made my balance well over 3000$.. I celebrated the win and all, devil came to me in the form of the "one last bet" thought... I was overwhelmed with having all the luck.. I joined a coinflip...went all in.. and all is gone in 3 secs.. I watched the coin spin away with my money .. that was a tough night to get sleep.

Reading your story was like a memories coming back to me. Lol. It happened to me multiple times in a landbased casino won big but there's almost that one itch you need to scratch and the urge to go for one more bet and then everything happens so fast. 24 hours ago, I had another brushed with walk of shame, had last money as a taxi fare, but decided to take the risk and won was able to recoup and win a few but then decided to make that last bet again capital was almost reduced in half but I was happy to snap and just decided to walk away with just minor losses. Good thing I was able to control my emotions that time.
Haha this is what happens to almost every gambler when they don't recognise the time to stop the game. Anyway it's not a good experience but form learning point of view it can be considered a good lesson for the future. Most of the time we see people complaining about setting the limits and control of greed, when you don't have control over the two, such things will happen frequently.

Greediness is one of the main factor that for sure will lead us to get bad regret at the end. If we keep feeding our greediness then I am sure, there is no way for us to get fun from gambling. It will only give us bad stories again and again.

It has always been like that and greediness wouldn’t make you a better man today or even in the future. When you experience something bad like losing a lot in gambling, you wouldn’t able to stop your greediness because you want to get back what you lost from the past and I think we are all sinners with that.

I think its best to recognize and accept that the odds of winning after several rounds of complete loss are very very low. In which case, the walk of shame will diverse to be changed to a more positive association. Though, recognizing this is hard which is why most people don't admit and keep going

There's no choice left for them, it's obvious when you gamble for a while and you bankroll becomes 50$ from 150$ you won't just quit it their as you will have a mindset that why should i simply lose 100$ and you will try to get your 150$ back but as you mentioned the odds keep lowering and you leave with nothing

Its really hard to admit and most gamblers would love to keep going and thinking that they can hit one big jackpot before going home. As @JL421, they really don't have a choice, its all or nothing for them. And when the inevitable happens, and if you ask them want went wrong, they can't explain it as if  they have a different personality inside a casino.

I've been playing online for quite sometime now and I have my ups and downs. When its a bad day for me and lost majority of my allocated funds for gambling I just turn off my PC and move on with my life. I'll return again when I have enough funds for online gambling. I don't play using my savings, that way I don't feel the guilt and try to recover my losses.
I guess we all we always do have ups and downs when it comes to gambling, but the downs anyway is always based on our gambling mentality or how much we are always able to control ourselves rather than being too injected with the wrong mentality until we end up screwing up all our funds.

After winning or losing, I can imagine what would have felt like and it is one thing to actually be so confident after a win as not being able to limit yourself in such situations will always make you prone to making huge and terrible mistake until you eventually end up losing it all. The fact that they hailed you for hitting a huge win and you getting confident as a result of that was your entire fault. I hope you learned from your experience though.

The thing is considering gambling as a way not to win a lot or possibility of losing so much, will always help reduce the down moments when it comes to gambling since you will pay less attention to it anyway.

I am not realiy a gambler though sometimes i am beating minimal in some other lottery games. But talking about walk of shame because nothing left in the pocket after the extreme lose is really hard to imagine. I understand that it is not an easy scenario and hopefully it won’t happen to anyone who gamble. Gambling is a choice but hopefully we can manage also our activity and always set the limits first.

You lose all your money in lottery, how dumb are you loterries have such high odds that even if you spend 10000$ you still get like a 10% chance or something which is really less and not worth spending so much.
If you buy a lottery ticket just buy one, most likely you will lose but still atleast you don't lose so much money

Lol. I hope you know what are you odds of winning in a lottery games. I guess walk of shame should be a good learning experience for most gamblers. If you have done it, pretty much you don't want to get the feel of it once more because its very painful I already learned from my mistakes and I wouldn't want to get to see it happened to me again.

@JL421, that is so true. I only buy one ticket and the same number but so far I'm still unlucky but at least I'm not losing big amounts of money.  Grin because the odds are really astronomical.

This is a short story but once I was playing at a casino on vacation and I spilled by drink all over the table.  I felt like an idiot, at least the staff were nice about it and there wasn't a big scene or anything.
This is different from the walk of shame of other gamblers that doesn't have money left on their pocket.

But yeah this experience is another humiliating story that you've got there.
This may be true that it might be different from that one but for me, they all are same. They are at same level of shame. They don’t know what they are doing with their lives just because they became addicted for money. They can’t even see what worst is being happening with their own families and how badly they are suffering. They are stupid people who need to work on their own life.

Did anyone here have experience a walk of shame (Walking home since you have a loss all your gambling money in just one snap)? Well, It did happen to me once and I'll never do that again. It was the bad year for me (Peek of my addiction), I normally left my atm/credit card at home if I were to visit a casino and have enough money wih some changes for my stay, food, drink and my fare. The first time it happens to me is when I was so frustrated because I can't win up to point I already spent my allocated money for my fare. I was devastated that I need to go home at 3 a.m. with no money literally and I haven't got a phone in me (which make it worst). Started walking from the casino going home it was the longest walk I ever made I pity myself and upon arriving at home my wife and my kids are already awake, I just can't bare to look at them. I don't even know what to say at that point. I just walk in shame, in front of my kids.

How about you, have experienced it? We all have different interpretation on "Walk of shame".
I have also experienced walking home without any winnings in gambling and it is really awful that i could not get back all of the money that i had loss. I could not also tell my family about it, so i decided to stop gambling for while for my family would not notice that i loss in gambling.

I've heard the walk of shame many times before, some of it I've heard from my friends and some I've heard in the television, though I clearly did not understand what it is up until now, Heads up because I really do not gamble that much and not a gamble addict, but again I have gambled before and I pretty much did also experienced the walk of shame wherein I was on the peak, I was in the climax, I was on top then I suddenly lost, my error here was thar I placed my bet, all of it I placed it, and then suddenly my luck ran out and lost everything, I did not walk shameful but rather I walked outside like I was a poor man without anything to deal with, but instead of complaining and crying I thought of it that it's a lesson I should learn and that is not putting all my money where my mouth is, Soon when I get to that casino, I'll be using more of my brain instead of my guts.
The only time I ever heard that was some few years back and I am not even sure if I should be considering that as a walk of shame or not because this dude trekked a very long distance after gambling and got so drunk that he passed out on the street after a while. That day, seeing how this kind of act renders people hopeless, helpless and irresponsible makes me wonder why someone in their right mind will leave their eyes opened and allow a poison to be poured in it, as this is just how I can classify that.

Wow, I don't know if I would want to feel that because I don't want to. I have a similar experience, but not up to $3000 like yours, mine was only like around $100, but it still hurts like hell. Losing something that you have worked on is not a good feeling. As long as you have risked the amount you are willing to bet on, that should just be the last bet, because we don't want or shouldn't get too greedy on gambling.
This is biggest stupidity if you play with heavy money in gambling. Gambling is itself a parasite that eats you up within and you really don’t know. This become an attractive scene but you don’t know the insider story what is being happened with your money and valuables. Soon when you lose everything then it comes to your notice that holy shit, I was victim.

I think that if you will continue that for some time then you will really become addicted to that and will really become a regular gambling, and then it will become difficult for you to stop playing gambling, because I have seen so many gambling who wishes to stop playing gambling but still they find it hard to do so.

Very sad to hear your story. I just hope that you really changed since then because the lonely faces of your children and wife was already enough (I think so) to make you realized how big your mistake is.

Hmm, I think what I've experienced is none compare to you but this still matters to me tho. I once placed my whole weekly allowance as a bet in our basketball match before and we lost. I got home dirty and tired, have muscle pains, blisters on feet, and an empty pocket.  I feel miserable that time because I worried about on how I can survive the upcoming week with nothing. Fortunately, my classmate let me lend some money so I feel relieved only a littel bit. From now on, I refuse to place a bet wherever as much as possible Grin

I didn`t experienced a "walk of shame" like you did. I never play for all my money. I always have an "inviolable stock", which I do not use during the gambling. But I several times had a very strong desire to break this taboo. When I lost the money allocated to the game, my hands were scratching to take a stash. And for me it was a figurative "walk of shame", because I was ashamed of my weakness and my ridiculous arguments about the fact that I need this money to "recoup". It is unlikely that this feeling is like your "walk of shame", but it was terrible and I would not want to experience it again.

Me also, I never had experience a walk of shame.. Because I never play any gambling just to loss my money,. And never tried to my wallet is empty and never to use it from that thing, just to have an a experience of walk of shame.

Well, I didn't, but only because I'm a person who tends to accept every trouble as a lesson, especially when it's your fault.
I've been in a situation like this, though. Lesson is learned and I walk my path again with new expirience. Good thing it was not a big sum, earned without effort. No regrets.

Who can blame them? You can bet or risk  your money on luck that don't really requires anything but money and you can enjoy yourself winning and earning money easily, who would not be serious with this, right?

I do gamble for fun, but I do know that I can earn money from what I am doing but don't really rely or hope on it since I know that it will not do anything good to me. I'd rather risk my money on investment and trading than putting it on gambling.
