This is a niche of hackers and thieves.
You order something and you will get the cops at your door, Purse does not offer any protection for buyers.

You will lose your BTC, your items, and will get blacklisted.

Can you support any of this? I've used purse over the last year for many items well over 200$ and haven't had a single issue.

Purse advertises a 10000$ protection guarantee for customers https://support.purse.io/general-questions/guarantee/

I can't confirm your claim. Purse is no company that backs out when something happens. I value having such company in the bitcoin area because there are way too many that do it very bad. Or not at all.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

Not sure if this was answered earlier but,  what is PurseInstant?

I have used it for all of my purchases.   Do these purchases get put onto their open market and simply get snapped up quick due to he lower discount?

I have made a few large purchase >2 BTC and they seem to take forever to go through.  Weeks sometime.  I was under the impression that PurseInstant was... INSTANT.

Thanks,

SMILY

It is filled and bought by purse as a company directly. Not by the buyers. So you have no waiting time. Works for the us market only.

With the normal buyers you could get higher discounts but depending on the height of discount you have to wait some time.

Well then PuseInstant is far from instant.  Or they are currently having liquidity issues as I have an order that sat for a week.  I then re submitted it earlier today.

Still no movement.

Hogwash. Scan the current listings and you'll see most of the listings are by people like me who have completed dozens of transactions. Do you think we would have stuck with it if the police were beating down our door? As for protection, Purse has an offer to pay legal bills for anyone who is caught up in some kind of legal action due to a Purse purchase. And when Amazon abruptly canceled gift cards I'd purchased via Purse without explanation or recourse, it was Purse that made me whole (this was even before their legal guarantee).

I've never had a purchase not arrive, and never seen a complaint about people not getting their BTC.

Unfortuantely that is no proof. I have seen buyers that had alot of transactions. They proceeded without problems for one simple reason... their carded victims did not instantly go to the police or did not instantly notice the problem.

Though purse is a lot saver now than at the beginning.

I don't really use Amazon so I didn't have a Amazon wish list. I still shopped on purse.io for a new mouse and the prices were very good. Thanks.

I've used this a couple of times now with relatively small orders to try it out (<£15) and so far had consistently good results. Deliveries have been almost immediate with 25-35% off.

The first time I got a delivery though I was out for the day and somebody else took the order in and by the time I got home in a couple of hours the buyer had already raised a ticket, contacted support, had a little conversation with them and submitted proof of delivery. Which certainly added something of an element of 'pressure' to further orders. Immediately opened it, confirmed and such when I actually did get in though and it all worked out fine mutual good feedback and such.

Plan to continue using the service Smiley.

One question I did have is what about returns and such? At one point I bought a "whisper quiet" air filter that may well have been "whisper quiet" for use in an industrial manufacturing plant but sure as hell wasn't for a bedroom. Called bullshit on it, youtube video as proof and such, sent it back got my money back. How would that work through purse? Say I bought a new phone that immediately burst into flames within 2 months and I needed to kick off at Amazon over it? As that wouldn't really be anything to do with the buyer or remotely their responsibility? This is the only thing stopping me from going for bigger orders as I feel I am potentially losing my protection to a degree

When you want a refund then you hopefully bought not from marketplace but from amazon directly because you can go through present return page or something named like that. You send back and get a coupon into your amazon account.

If you did let buy someone form another seller on amazon then you are bound to the mercy of that person as far as I remember.

Wow, wish people were more patient. I try to leave a message on the order page for the bitcoin buyer to see, if I'm away from home and won't be able to confirm delivery quickly. I've never had a problem, probably because of that habit. (I try not to place orders when I have a trip coming up, but sometimes orders take a while to fill and something comes up.)

As for returns, the one time I had a problem and needed to return an item it worked in my favor - not only did Amazon take the item back, they credited my regular Amazon account rather than asking me to do something funky involving the purchaser. And since it was a "gift" they apparently gave me the highest price the item had been listed at in the last couple months, which was ~30% higher than the price my purchaser actually paid for it. So add that to the discount I got at Purse in the first place and I made out like a bandit on that one.

Really? :O I mean amazon can easily know what the product did cost the buyer so why should they do this? Maybe to protect the giver of a present and to not let him look like a cheapo? Though I doubt they would pay for that.

I have a purse.io account too, but rate for cashout AGC are really high (over 20% ). I think that should be better split rate  between buyer and seller on  purse.io (so seller cashout AGC @ 10% discount, and buyer sells his BTC @ +10%).
