In my opinion both Should be important because at one side if you will not make better product than why one consumer will prefer to have by may another .
And  second Thing is if you will not tell people about your project and product then why people will get attract toward you .

Product is one of the most important factor when choosing a project to invest and support with. The longterm usefulness of a projects product is what I am looking for, there's always high percentage that the project will succeed of course if they do have great product and if theres a great product of course demand will follow. In the long run if theres always a good demand the value will surely increase!

Yes, ofcourse project platform is part of the ICO, if the ICO doesn't have any platform, for sure the project will be scam because you will predict that the ICO is scam due to the platform project is so bad and not clicking either.

Having a viable product before or early on in the project does wonders for the value on an exchange.  So many projects make an announcement about this or that product they will have down the road, and the project succumbs to over-inflation or hyper-inflation of the coins/tokens as there is nothing to cause the circulation numbers to tighten up and cause people to want to horde it.

Even projects that are in progress that make announcements related to the project's centerpiece or hitting major milestones almost always generates a small bump in price as that's what drives people to want to invest.

From an investor's perspective, so few projects out there have a developed product that when a project does come along with a great use case and developed software, money almost always will flow into the project creating value all around.

if I would be the investor, I will invest on a project with a working product since I am up to invest for a long time and hodl the tokens that id like. but most of the ico today are just making a promise so it's really a risk to invest in ico nowadays. so it is more appealing for investors for an ico to have a working product.

the ready made products or already available naturally is a good guarantee in ICO. products that are already available naturally makes investors unsure of what they will buy. This is an important thing to have because it could increase the number of investors who are there because they are sure to support the obvious has a real product. compared to the product form is unclear who owned so things like this would be much better.
