All we can do is not to panic, or spread negative and untruthful news. The situation is not the best on the market, personally I will expect improvement!)

Yup the situation is kind of risky for the crypto currencies but what I have learnt from the past years trends is, you have to be very patient. The patterns and the wavy ups and downs has been here since long time and it's not new for the crypto currency. Bitcoin on the other hand is getting played by governments, financial institutes and central banks. They are making it little shaky due to unregulated environment and threat of getting regulations. The things are blending like crazy for it and many investors are just scared about the whole thing. This leads to fear and the fear slows down the investment. If there is no inevstment then how could developments take place. Thus, one after another there is huge chain reaction which takes place and disturbs the market. The end result is pretty simple, we see the bloodbath everywhere.

So yeah kind of many surprises and who knows they could be more often good one.

Seems to be related to Binance temporarily halting withdrawals because of a potential hack. I also heard some warnings about unregulated exchanges.

It seems that the prices of cryptocurrencies are always sensitive to any negative news and since the prices have not recovered after the crash, we’re seeing some really low prices. Maybe it’s a good time to buy more.

What improvement are you saying?

I have to admit that we started this year at the wrong foot and we have been in this wild swings lately and the bearish sentiments still in the air. But I don't think that improvements is needed to push the market up again.

The only improvement that I'm thinking is the implementation of Lightning Network. But it remains to be seen because as far as I know they are still on the testnet. It gonna be another tough one to see the price plummeting below $8K tomorrow unless another big whale comes in a make a huge buy order.

Indeed we have no idea what going on right and until the time the confusion doesn't get rid off no one will ever make move to invest into the crypto currencies. Everyone here is surprised by the decreased prices of the bitcoin and thus panicked situation has also been observed in the altcoins section. I mean come on this is getting so bitcoin dependent that the altcoins are also down to more than 10-20% and some of the coins are even down to 50% in negative line. If this situation continued for little longer then I am sure that it would be hardest time for the newbies to invest and would be stressful for the whale investors who are now stocked with bigger investment and low prices.

Time have its own way. Life is full of surprises how much more bitcoin life. In this world of bitcoin we have seen so many surprising things that the citizens couldn't expect. Who knows what will happen next with bitcoin price? As far as I know it come up to 11k in the past days and now it is just 9k. Bitcoin always surprises people. We did not expected that last 2017 has big surprise in price of bitcoin, so probably this year will have a great deal, lets wait and see. Don't panic and stay calm.

This attracted too much attention and now the market is sold down by all these new investors who are getting burnt and getting out of

Cryptocurrencies have the same cyclical nature as the stock market, the only difference is that they are not established and that means that the cycles are a lot more extreme. No one knows how high things can go and so the pumps are crazy, at the same time no one knows if crypto is here to stay and that's why the dumps are so hard.

I sometimes think people have their graphs set to something like 15 or 30 min intervals and all that fits on their screens is the last 1-2 weeks. The slightest drop makes them say things like OP's "the prices are declining again" and it doesn't matter that it went up from 6 to 11k, so almost doubled in the last month. It doesn't matter that the bottom has formed and it's trying to get higher but the demand isn't high enough for it to happen within a month or 2. Don't panic, we are 3k higher than a month ago.

Bitcoin declining in price is no news.  This stuff always happen so I believe we must be used to this kind of fluctuation.  And as far as I know, there is always an improvement, regulations, development and saturation of places.  I don't think Bitcoin will reach 60k USD this year but I still believe Bitcoin still have lots of surprises to give us.  This include breaking of ATH continuesly.

We have already experienced a surprise this week   After a significant increase the price fell again because of the hackers' attack. Can long will it take to recover from this? I hope, we'll have more optimistic news at the end of the month

It is more similar to the panic following any, even insignificant falling. Such people often don't even look at bigger periods.

Ah! Tell me the time when we have not surprised with the bitcoin's behaviours. The crypto world itself is full of the surprise at each week or month and years now. Its been great time since 2017 start and we are already at the good position if we compare the prices and developments to the 2017 year start. So there is no more worrying thing about this and we can easily catch the good stuff out of it. At least we have not dropped to 1K, haha. That would be epic thing if it really happened now. However we are back up with huge market cap which goes nearly to 250B USD on an average thus making this economy very strong. The improvements, hopefully will happen if the devs are serious and public interest is on the up surge. Then yes we can see huge pump back to ATH.
