UPDATE 15/01/2014:Due to the fact the PETAMINE will not start with the mining before mid-January, the start date insurance comes into effect ( http://www.peta-mine.co/peta-mine). This means we will start the PETAMINE with an extra 20% of hashing power. Each share will represent 2.88 GH/s instead of 2.4 GH/s. Since 76.446 shares are sold now, the PETAMINE will have a minimum initial hashrate of 220 TH/s.

That's great news. Thanks for the update on the insurance. Now, is there any way you could get an estimate for the start of mining date? Roughly, doesn't need to be perfect. But it doesn't look like we will start mining in one week (or two)...
Thanks!

+1 with the diff shooting up every 10 days and we've only got PetaMine insurance for +20% every 30 days it would be a disaster to start mining after mid February

Look at first pages of this thread, it's their stats page on Eligius We used to see the hash rate from the earlier miner there

Could be a sign they're testing /implementing some boards. Just positive to see some activity

http://cointerra.com/update-prototype-testing-completed-certification-production-week/It looks like we are a week away from hardware delivery. Cryptx, at one point it was mentioned that you were purchasing chips and not completed units. 1) Have you already received chips as they have been ready for a couple of weeks? 2) What do you see as your time frame for having these units hashing? Thank you for any information you are able to provide.

About delivery times: From Cointerra's update: We expect to begin shipping the initial run of units at the end of this week, incrementally ramping up production for volume shipping commencing next week

That is great news, I was worried we still had to procure boards etc. To the moon!

Now that we are so close to start hashing, can we talk a little more about the rest of IPO shares: Does anyone know if the IPO shares will continue to be available for sale after hashing begins? Just curious, as presumably they wouldn't be able to add to the capacity without a bit of a wait? Looking forward to getting started There is no reason for them not to be. They are repaying themselves with the ipo, so its in their interest to keep them up. Considering the money they had to put out upfront to get this venture going I don't see why they wouldn't just receive and install all hardware they have ordered and keep the profits from the unsold shares for themselves/reinvestment until they sell. I think that IPO shares have to be removed, or at least moved at higher price. Why? Well, for one, those that buy IPO shares now are not taking the risk of late hardware delivery, and can NOT be entitled to that 20% 'protection' (hashrate increase to 2.88). Also, it's not fair to early investors - we all could wait until now, and buy just now, with minimum risk and still at IPO price!? If CryptX has hardware ordered from unsold shares, he can still mine with it, privately, and keep all the coins from that part of hardware.

It is not fair on the early investors that new players come in a receive the shares at below IPO cost and still be entitled to the 20% hashrate increase for receiving the units late. What do the early investors get out of this??
