I heard that the wallet MEW may not be used anymore, this information is true. So if the wallet MEW for some reason can not be used then can we use any other wallet?
It's still working and there is no official news that they will stop myetherwallet storing your ethereum, I wonder where did you get the news, and of course we can use other wallets I highly recommend MyCrypto it's a good alternative their desktop one is good for security. |

At least I don’t worry about my funds in this wallet. First of all, I use it with Android, but nevertheless I take my actions very carefully. Using a wallet beside Myetherwallet, of course, you can, but until now Myetherwallet can still be used. The news that you get in my opinion is wrong, you better find the truth first about the news. Myetherwallet is a very safe wallet and so far I am very safe to use it.

If you can read this comment now i hope you learned your lesson as not all the news with out any proof is not to believe. Be sure to make your research before do panic. there are so many FUD in the community and only you can neutralize it via reasearch and studies. |

Myetherwallet will definitely continue to work no traces of the wallet being on hold or pause, but there are other wallet also in use as a substitute.

I have no idea about it. In my opinion, the MEW still can work. I also still use my long-time MEW for the ERC20 token type.
is there any latest news about it? I think I miss the exact news about the My Ether Wallet. Hopefully, there is no serious problem that I must change into the new wallet type.

Where did you hear this information, i already use MEW over 1 year untill now and still work. And if MEW can access again you wallet still can use if you safe the JSON file or private key. And for me i already use so many wallet and i think MEW is the best You should not ask about that because this is an old thread and you must ask yourself why you still commenting on this thread if you can read all of answers above you that the problm in this thread has alreayd fixed? |

this is very misleading, mew is a wallet where you hold your private key and i know that mew is a very famous and adopted wallet for crypto lovers. I am using it till now 2019 of january. I love mew and i always use mew in all of my transaction, Plus i feel safe when i use mew than any other wallet out there. |

true or not, doesn't matter.
what wallets like myetherwallet do is that they create a private key for you and they claim to not store the private keys anywhere. this means you control the private keys and you alone. and a private key is all you need to be able to spend any funds that you have in your address.
so in case MEW disappeared one day, all you need to do is to find a wallet that allows you to import private keys and then do that.
That solves the problem. There's really no reason to be afraid if MEW will not going to operate in the later future. well, MEW is really a good platform to store tokens and its really quite sad if it will going to be not working anymore in the market. I will miss some of its features like offline account managing and JSON file keystore. |

And now it's 2019 and MyEtherWallet is still working and they have now mewconnect which is great. Even though MyEtherWallet would go offline which is never gonna happen and still you can use other wallets like imtoken and metamask which can hold all erc20 tokens. I would confirm this information about mew wallet becoming useless is not true. |

For me I still use MEW for my daily transactions with no hassle and no plot of being scammed. Just a precautionary measure, make sure that you don't install any malicious file that can be subjected as a tool for hacking to ensure that your wallet is completely safe.

Maybe because people do not trust MYETHERWALLET anymore that this kind of news is persisting, they are still working but there are to many hacking happening that people are choosing the other options for better security and easiness of use. |

Many people use Myetherwallet to store their tokens, and I don’t think that this wallet will stop working soon. Moreover, this is one of the best crypto wallets.

It makes absolutely no sense. Myetherwallet is working fine and it is the most user-friendly and comfortable ERC-20 wallet that I have used. You should be careful with fishing websites, but any anti virus software will solve this problem. If you are still worried, buy a cold wallet.

MEW is just an interface that provides some features to get access by private key (wherever it stores, but not at MEW), to sign transactions and to announce them to the ethereum network. That's it. If you get to a phishing site or store your private keys in an inappropriate way - it's your and only your problem.

I totally agree with you, because this wallet is in my opinion the most reliable. The whole problem with the safety of personal funds can only be the fault of the user. It is not the first time that I meet this and even phishing sites that a user visits are also his fault. |
