Why did you decide to launch the Alpha version of your exchange Huh Huh Huh Typically, developers do not do this Undecided

Why not? In my opinion the opportunity to have a proof that the team can deliver before investing into their ICO is huge, otherwise you just invest into a whitepaper.
You're right. But this can alienate some traders who will see STEX in this state. They may not return later. Do not you think so?

No I don't think so, I prefer to see at least a working product even if it is an alpha and a lot of work has to be done, but there is something I can try out. This increases my confidence in the team immensely.
But that's just my opinion, of course I also understand your point of view.
Ok, sir! thanks for your reply Wink

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

The pairs will be added successively and not all at once. The possibility of 10,000 trading pairs are one of the goals and the project is still in alpha stage, mind you Smiley

I am thinking once we will be after official launch of full version, new coins addings will be more frequent. 10k paris is only 100 coins, so it is possible to do in a few months. There are many good blockchain projects struggling to be listed on exchanges and STeX may be a great solution to provide liquidity for them.

A premise would be that people (know and) use STeX, otherwise, it's like getting listed on any other small exchange. I really hope that the liquidity pool makes a difference here. But I'd guess that it only has an effect for assets that are traded on other exchanges because volume only comes through trading and the listing of a project on STeX (only) doesn't equal guaranteed trading volume even if we have a huge liquidity pool.

Did I understand correctly that you have another exchange? But unlike other projects, you have already launched the alpha version, right?

You are absolutely right, tokens will be listed on the DEEX exchange too. Try out the alpha version of the exchange now, Beta is planned for mid-June. It's a big benefit compared to other projects to see an alpha before investing.

4 days to go! STE tokens will become tradeable in stex.exchange! 1 month to go, A2A coins will become usable also because ICO will end. At long last, the final step in Stex will finally meet! I have eagerness to use this exchange because I can freely do whatever I want. Imagine, tons of tokens inside an exchange. That is really amazing!

An Alpha is already available, yes, and there was a first ICO. You can have a look here: STeX and also visit the alpha of the exchange: STeX Alpha It is a production version so you can already use it, check it out  Smiley

I'm also super excited that STeX finally will be used by a wider audience as I hope for a lot of marketing  Grin

I absolutely agree with you. I believe that projects first start the platform, and then conduct the sale of tokens, will definitely be successful

A working product always is the best way to show that a project isn't just cheap talk.
I'd love to see more people try the Alpha though. It'd also be cool if everyone that creates an account would get a few free tokens just to test it. That'd increase the chance that people try it.

Very good idea to award alpha platform participants with some free A2A tokens, so they can do some reading for tests purpose. It would also allow to catch more bugs during this phase and fix them before the official exchange launch. Free tokens is a always great incentive to bring more users.

Yeah, bug testing is definitely important and nobody likes to risk his money on a product that might have some flaws. If people would get some free tokens, nobody had to use his own money just to try the platform. STeX could couple it with a small survey, e.g. regarding the UX or general ideas. Arbidex did this quite successfully with their MVP.

I'd also like to see some more info about the recent STE "token upgrade", maybe in the OP @STeX team  Smiley

so the A2A ICO ends in 1 month ??
I think we won't get much more, most of investors come in early in ICO
3.3k ETH is nice for a secondary token like this

Unfortunately, there is also still a lot of confusion, since people don't read and the marketing is basically non-existent and only people who follow the project understand what happened. Even some of them are still confused with basically 4 tokens related to the project.

There are 3 versions of the STE token and one of the A2A token. STE is a dividend token, A2A a utility token.
The 3 versions of the STE token are:
  • STeX.Exchange
  • STeX Exchange ICO
  • STeX Exchange Token

Only the last one is important since the token got re-issued 2 times.

This makes it confusing and I think the team could focus a bit more on reassuring and explaining people what happened, why it happened and what's to come- what they can expect. Sometimes people need to hear something again and again. Repetition is one of the easiest yet most important concepts of marketing.

So STE tokens was reissued again? I haven't seen any annoucement about this. Do you have more info why did the team made another contract for this token? I mean if they did it it was probably necessary, but still it can be confusing.

Yeah, the token was again re-issued (link to news)

According to the team it was mainly done to increase the security for the long-term token holders and also for an easier accounting of the original ICO and bounty tokens.
Additionally, to deal with the hacked wallets and funds sent from other exchanges' accounts, they felt that they needed a  more flexible vesting system, which was implemented in the final new STE smart contract 0xffe04344f48e7ca2ee5e25bf557ac88b1b769cb3
The main improvement will be a safeLock function allowing token holders to protect their tokens by hard-locking them on the smart contract for any period from 1 day and up to 2 years.

I would've also preferred that the team had used all their social media outlets and not just one channel with 1 big news. Maybe a medium/steemit report and several messages on twitter/facebook/telegram referring to it, each message with a different feature/reasoning.

What are the advantages of STeX? How is the right way to develop the STeX? Is everything made by STeX acceptable to the public (users)?
