Buying Alts with ETH or BTC

It is amazingly confusing for me to understand whether to buy ETH or BTC to trade for ALTS. I plan on holding a good % of BTC and ETH in my portfolio, but when it comes to these fluctuating BTC and ETH prices, I'm never sure whether to buy one first to trade for ALT coins.

Any suggestions?

for what reason that you wanted to buy altcoins instead of btc and eth?just because of fluctuations youre having second thoughts on this matter?all altcoins prices fluctuating too so i see no reason about this problem,remember the most secured and assured coins in all cryptocurrency are bitcoin and ethereum so before anything else these two must be the priority so please be mind about this instances

For me if have a good amount of mount that you want to invest in crypto, bitcoin is one of the good coins to buy and hold because as we can see bitcoin is the leading coins around the world and has the big population that is why bitcoin is strong enough as currency and has no possibility to loss its value.

we can benefit from buying altcoin by looking at the price of ETH or Bitcoin in the market, if bitcoin price decreases and ETH increases then it is better to buy altcoin with Bitcoin because we can get more profit than buying altcoin with ETH.

For me, it's better to hold on these cryptocurrencies as their market price are getting lower and lower each day. If you have them in your portfolio, hodl them. If you want to buy alt coins since the market is bleeding, then try another alternatives to get some of your prospective alts.

At this time I would get bitcoin using cad. At the time of writing this comment, it has the highest retracement from the all time high out of the three. Unless there is major incoming news like amazon accepting litecoin or ethereum casper has been implemented, i would just choose BTC as my entry point. Then read charts of alts to find the optimal buy zone.

BTC should be the first priority. Bitcoin is the safest cryptocurrency for investment because it has the biggest market cap among all of the cryptocurrencies that exist.

Yes, I also prefer bitcoin because bitcoin is the most reliable and  popular coin in the crypto market. You can secure your investment here. Also, ETH is also important and for me, using this will gives you benefits. There are prediction that Eth will grow for this year. Both coin is safe to hold but it depends to you on what you will going to choose.

I see more prospects in the ethereum. It is constantly changing with technology . As long as the ICO's concern most of them is on the ethereum platform. Therefore it will has more and more demand in future. However I suggest anyone to have a more diversified portfolio. Which should comprise BTC, ETH and other alt coins. Selecting altcoins you should consider new future gems. If you can identify those early you can gain lot form them.

I think it's easy, you can trade with eth or btc. there is no difference between the two. especially if you have bitcoin and ethereum as a trading tool. try to understand more
